Summary

A new trailer forZenless Zone Zerohas confirmed that it’s a temporaryPlayStationconsole exclusive and can come to other consoles from January 2025 onwards.

PlayStation might not be having the most notable year when it comes to big first-party exclusives (something that it admitted would be the case earlier in 2024), but it’s still managed to get some notable titles as temporary PlayStation-only titles. The first of these isFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which was confirmed to have PS5 exclusivity until May of this year, yet still hasn’t come to other consoles.

Zenless Zone Zero’s PlayStation exclusivity deal.

The second biggest temporary exclusive thatPlayStation has under its belt is HoYoverse’s latest gacha game Zenless Zone Zero, which launched earlier this month andhas already proven to be a big hit. It’s not clear if it’ll reach Genshin Impact levels of success yet, but it’s on a good track, one which might eventually take it to other consoles.

Zenless Zone Zero Can Come To Other Consoles After January 2025

Earlier today,PlayStation shared a launch trailer for Zenless Zone Zero(that actually appears to have gone up on the game’s own YouTube page last week) to celebrate the game’s release. It’s not clear why it’s been shared so late, but it does at least contain a very interesting tidbit about the game’s PlayStation exclusivity.

As the trailer ends,a notice pops up that confirms that Zenless Zone Zero is a timed console exclusive for PlayStationand can potentially come to other platforms in the future. The notice says that Zenless Zone Zero won’t be coming to other consoles until at least six months after its release on PS5,which is the same deal that was present for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

It’s worth noting, though, that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth still shows no sign of coming to Xbox, even though its PS5 exclusivity deal has now ended.

This means that Zenless Zone Zero can officially come to other platforms, such as Xbox and Nintendo, from July 01, 2025, six months after its launch on PlayStation. It’s not clear if those plans are in the works or even being considered by HoYoverse, but it does mean that it’s a possibility.

That being said, it doesn’t seem too likely that Zenless Zone Zero will end up coming to Xbox. Genshin Impact andHonkai Star Railstill aren’t on the console, so it’s clearly not being viewed as a priority. That could change in the future, but for now it seems like PlayStation is still the best bet if you’re desperate to play.
