Sean Chiplock, best known for his work as Revali inThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildand Diluc inGenshin Impact, has denied allegations that he groomed a teenage boy in 2013.

Over the past few days, allegations have resurfaced claiming that voice actorSean Chiplock allegedly groomed a 14-year-old trans boy in 2013 by sending them sexually explicit messages. Similar allegationshave been made several times in the past, but this latest claim is backed up by chat logs detailing the conversations.

The allegations were first made a few days ago by Twitter user awryval, who said, “When I was 13, Sean Chiplock attempted to groom a 15-year-old trans boy. That person was my friend. But he left the internet, so the only person left to tell the story is me”. The thread claims that Casper, the boy in question, started talking to Chiplock on FurAffinity about having trouble with an artist they commissioned.

Although awryval’s statement claims Casper was 15 at the time of the conversation, Casper’s own response to the situation reveals that he was actually 14.

Sean Chiplock Accused Of Grooming A 14-Year-Old Trans Boy In 2013

Following that conversation, Chiplock allegedly messaged Casper on Skype and within an hour had sent voice clips of himself “moaning and fake orgasming”.According to the chat logs and awryval’s write-up of the events, Chiplock then went on to ask Casper how he masturbated, including pressing for details on masturbating while transgender, which ended the conversation.

After these accusations were made public and gained traction on Twitter,Chiplock released a statement that denied the allegations, claiming that he is made to revisit them every year and that they always get debunked, even when his “literal career is on the line”. Chiplock ended his statement by saying, “I did not groom a minor, and never have. Any claim otherwise is patently false”.

In response to Chiplock’s denial of the allegations, an account claiming to be Casper, the boy involved in the Skype conversations, released his own statement backing up the original thread. Casper said, “I’m choosing to come forward to add credibility to these allegations and to say that I stand by the claims made in my original journal written in 2014”.

This tweet was then responded to by Chiplock, who asked if he could speak to Casper to “have the conversation you should’ve been allowed a long time ago” and said that he wanted to apologise for his behaviour. Casper replied by saying that he didn’t want to have a conversation and just wanted Chiplock to admit that the claims are true.

Chiplock has said that he isn’t able to verify that what’s being shared hasn’t been edited or modified and that he isn’t comfortable “arguing the truth of something I can’t even look at for myself, from a community that proved to be full of manipulation”.
