Summary
In 2019,Konamireleased a stainless steel Dark Magician GirlYu-Gi-Ohcard. Very rare and highly sought after, there was one catch, and it was a big one for Yu-Gi-Oh fans who don’t live in Japan. The card didn’t get a worldwide release. Five years later, to celebrate Yu-Gi-Oh’s 25th anniversary, that has finally changed. Dark Magician Girl’s stainless steel card is now available in Europe, releasing on June 06, 2025, and pre-orders are now open.
The special edition card is exclusive to Amazon and even though it won’t be released outside of Japan for the first time until August 1, pre-orders are now open. The card is 169 euros ($184) and even though the first batch of pre-orders appears to have sold out almost immediately, there will hopefully be more available at a later date. Konami has made it clear that the card will only be available in limited numbers, though.

Each of the cards will be individually numbered which means yours will be truly unique to you. However, the reveal also notes that waves of cards will be sent every five days, making some hopeful that even though there will be a limited amount of these cards available, there will be more chances to secure one. Even though the first wave sold out before this article was published, it’s worth checking the link below as the next wave of pre-orders may now be open.
Pre-Orders For Dark Magician Girl’s Stainless Steel Card Are Now Open
Yu-Gi-Oh! Stainless Steel Card: Dark Magician Girl
Yu-Gi-Oh’s stainless steel Dark Magician Girl card was originally released in Japan in 2019 and found its way to other parts of the world five years later. The artwork is based on the monster’s first appearance in the TCG and the steel version of the card is encased in acrylic to protect it.
The stainless steel card comes in an acrylic case to protect it, and for display purposes, and can now boast being released to celebrate Yu-Gi-Oh’s 20th and 25th anniversaries. Dark Magician Girl is one of Yu-Gi-Oh’s most recognizable and popular monsters, and the artwork featured on this special edition of the card is the same as the art used for her debut. Hopefully the card will get a US release too. TheGamer has reached out to Konami to clarify whether that will be the case or if there are plans for a US release any time soon.
Konami has been celebrating a quarter of a century of Yu-Gi-Oh in several ways throughout the year, most recently viaconfirmation that its Early Days Collection will be getting a worldwide release. The collection will include some of the series very first video games and was previously believed to be a Japan-only release. Pre-orders popping up in the US confirmed it will also be available elsewhere, exciting since one of only two games revealed to be a part of the collection so far has never been released outside of Japan.
