Yakuza Kiwami Coming To Nintendo Switch
Yakuza Kiwami, a remake of the original 2005 PlayStation 2 title Yakuza, is set in Kamurocho and focuses on the story ofKazuma Kiryu.
Developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega, Kiwami was released on PlayStation 3 and 4 in 2016, onPCin 2019, and on Xbox in 2020. Now, eight years later, the series is finally coming to Nintendo Switch.

Unfortunately, it currently looks like Kiwami is the only Yakuza title making its way to the Nintendo platform. With more than 20 games in the series, including spin-offs and extended titles, this is somewhat of a surprise, especially given that most of the titles are available on all other platforms, so porting shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
Nintendo has confirmed that Yakuza Kiwami, which currently sits with a score of82 on Opencritic, will be released on theNintendo Switchon July 03, 2025. This coincides with the release of theLike a Dragon: Yakuza Amazon series, which will be released a day later on October 25.
