Don’t panic, but the current generation ofXboxandPlayStationconsoles are now more than three years old. Yeah, it’s flown by. With Xbox confirmingnew models of its latest consoles will be here before the end of 2024, it seems we are approaching the halfway point of this current-gen. It was notoriously difficult to get your hands on the latest consoles for quite a while after they were released, though. Quite a bit more than $100 off, as a matter of fact. A 1TB Series X still retails for $500 when bought brand new. However, the consoles available on Amazon right now are $369.99, so $130 cheaper than usual. The only caveat is these are renewed Series X consoles, but even then they are still $80 cheaper than usual. Renewed means the console is either pre-owned or the box has been opened. However, they will have been refurbished and will function like new.
Speaking of being the same as buying a new Series X in everything but name, the renewed console also comes with a standard Xbox controller, just like they do when you buy them new. Basically, you’re getting the same Series X that you’d get if buying one brand new from a store. The only differences are the renewed in the product description, and going this route saves you $130. That’s enough for a couple of brand new games, or six months of Game Pass Ultimate,even after the prices go up later this year.
