Summary

When WWE superstar Randy Orton isn’t delivering scathing promos or punishing RKOs, he likes to spend his time playingElden Ring. Yes, you read that right. The 14-time WWE World Heavyweight champion is an avid gamer, so much so that he’s dumped 600 hours into the game.

Orton revealed hisFromSoftwareobsession ina new episode of “What Do You Wanna Talk About,” a conversational podcast hosted by current WWE Undisputed champion Cody Rhodes. There, Orton revealed that the roles between him and Rhodes have flipped over the years, with Orton now being the gamer of the two.

“I used to give you **** about being a gamer,” Orton recalled. Indeed, Rhodes was a massive video game fanatic in his younger years, going as far as to wear wrestling boots emblazoned with the Legend of Zelda’s triforce symbol on them.

Heck, Rhodes even appeared in an officialNintendovideo commemorating the 25th anniversary of the franchise.

That said, it’s Orton who is now the gamer, and he isn’t ashamed to admit it. “Oh, I f******** love Elden Ring,” he exclaimed. Granted, Ortonunderwent spinal fusion surgery, which kept him out of action and helped lead to his obsession, buthe’s been back since November. In other words, he’s certainly made an effort to keep up with the game andits DLC.

But What Didn’t Orton Pay Someone To Level Up His Character?

Now, eagle-eyed fans might remember that it wasrevealed that Orton paid someone to level up his character. In aTwitch livestream, a pair of coworkers revealed that Orton had told them he paid someone $1,000 to give him enough runes to get to level 100.

Orton also revealed back in 2022 that he was level 527, though it’s unclear if he paid someone beyond the $1,000 to get higher than level 100. It’s likely that Orton got a headstart, then slowly progressed further and further. Either way, 600 hours is some serious commitment, and it certainly beats the number of hours this writer has in the game.
