Summary
Wizards of the Coasthas come under fire for allegedly failing to credit several contributors toD&D Beyond. That is according to a former employee, who says that her name wasn’t featured in both the print and digital editions of multipleDungeons & Dragonsbooks.
As reported onEn World, former senior producer at Wizards of the Coast, Faith Elisabeth Lilley, made these claims on herFacebook pageearlier this week. Here, she explains that she and her team “worked directly” with the creators of several D&D books, and were assured that they would be credited for this work. However, print editions never credited her, and online versions as part of D&D Beyond have seemingly been updated to remove her name.

Wizards Of The Coast Accused Of Removing D&D Beyond Credits
“While at Wizards (so after D&D Beyond was purchased) - with numerous books, my digital content team and I worked directly with the book team on the content, reading through rules drafts, suggesting changes, giving ideas, and catching issues,” says Lilley.
“Given that we were contributing to the content in the books, I felt it reasonable to request that [the] team be added to the credits, but was informed the credits section was already too crowded with the number of people involved and many of the marketing team had already been dropped from credits,” she continues. “I felt strongly that anyone actually contributing to what is in the printed book should be credited though, so we agreed a compromise, that the team would be added to the credits page on D&D Beyond only, as there is no issue with ‘not enough space’ on a web page.”
She shared screenshots of her name in the credits in the online editions, but this has since changed.
“At some point recently, those credits pages have been edited to remove the credits for me and the content team,” she says. “Nobody reached out to let me know - it just happened at some point, and I only just noticed.”
In a comment, Lilley says she spoke with someone at WotC and was told this was intentional. She says the source was unable to give her a reason for the removal.
WotC is yet to respond to these claims. It doesn’t seem that Lilley has been provided with more answers since then, and it remains to be seen if her name is added back into the D&D Beyond releases of these books.
