Quick Links
you may expand and upgrade your Territory pretty early on inOnce Human. There are a lot of different crafting benches and tools that you will need to place, and you will capture many Deviants as you progress through the game. For example, each Deviant requires an Isolated Securement Unit. Players might as well build a separate building just for Deviant storage.
There are certain limitations to expanding your Territory, though. Fulfill some requirements or you will be left with a smaller base and structures will have to be stuffed side by side. The bigger the base, the more creative freedom and the more space for late-game recipes.

How To Expand Your Territory
You have topurchase the Memetic that unlocksTerritory Expansion. Open your Cradle and head to Memetics > Building. The Territory Expansion perk is inLevel Three under the Building category.
At the moment, there is only one Territory Expansion perk available.

The Territory Expansion Memetic does not connect to other perks. This means that you do not have to unlock other perks to reach this one.You can unlock Territory Expansion immediately.
This does not unlock a recipe or an item, only the ability to upgrade your base.Upgrade your base by heading over to your Territory Terminal. Everyone automatically has a Territory Terminal at the start of the game, from when they first placed their base.

The Territory Terminal should then havethree options when you hover over it. The options are: viewing your building details, accessing secret storage, and upgrading your territory space.
Why Can’t I Expand My Base?
The hard part is actually having your base in an area that allows expansion. You cannot expand your territory if there are nearby roads, water, or other structural buildings. If you have placed your base near a settlement or body of water, chances are the game won’t let you expand any further.
You cannot adjust how much it expands or in what direction.
Even if it looks like you have enough room for expansion, the game will make it hard for you to squeeze into a neighborhood or busy area.If you keep getting the error that there is something blocking expansion, you are better off relocating your base.
Players can move their base anywhere they want without having to rebuild. Some decoration pieces will have to be rebuilt, but your actual structure will remain as is.
To relocate, stand in your new location andpress B to open building and then Z to relocate. Relocation has aten-minute cooldown.
