You canfind quite a few lootables in each of their zones, and they restock at the same time as any other items in the world, depending on your settings.
No matter which Trader you’re at, their shops alwaysopen at 4 AM and close by 9:50 PM or 21:50 on the in-game clock, and if you’rewithin the bounds when they close, you’ll bekicked out.
Trader Rekt
Trader Rekt isgenerally the first Traderyou’ll come across, as he alsoserves as the introduction to tradingand one of thestarting missions will direct you to his locationin the Forest biome.
You’ll find variousearly-game and lower-tier itemsfor sale from him, and he willcarry more seeds and food itemsthan the other four traders. Hismissions are always in the Forest region, and he alsogives you your first Shovelduring the job tutorial quest.
Trader Jen
Trader Jen’susually the second traderyou’ll come across, as theBurnt Forest is the next easiest biometo deal with after the Forest, and pretty close by to it as well.
Jen carries a lot of general goods and, fitting with there beingseveral medical tents with lootablesin the zone, she’llcarry medical supplieslike Aloe Creammore often and in greater numbersthan the other traders.
She alsooffers the same three job types, but hers will always lead you to places and locationswithin the Burnt Forest.
Jen’s one of thebest traders to go ahead and find in the early gamesince she carries lots of Aloe Creams, which you’ll need to make First Aid Bandages.
Using theresidential areain theupper center of the Forestbiome, where both theMcMillan and Goldsmith Residences are, as your starting point, there aretwo fairly easy routesyou can take to reach Jen.
Route Two:
Trader Bob
Trader Bob isusually the third traderyou’ll come across, and he’s not too far away from Jen, though he sits in the third most dangerous area, the Desert.
Bob’s got afocus on different tools, and you’ll generally also find sometool-related mods in his shop, along withmaterials needed for vehicleslike Mechanical Parts or Electrical Parts and more paint than the other traders.
While Trader Bob’s area is still a safe zone, itregisters as one orange skull difficultybecause Zombie Vultures can still track you overhead and very rarely attack.
Using the same starting point, it’s easy to begin at thefour-way intersectionnext to theMcMillan and Goldsmith Residencesin the Forest and take thesafer route through the Burnt Forest.
If you’ve already found Trader Jen, you can alsostart your trip at her safe zone, as she’s almost directly north of him.
His jobs are mostly going tobring you into the desert, but on rare occasions, they’llsend you to locations close to the Wastelandbiome, and they’ll end up beingmore difficult than usualthanks to this.
Trader Hugh
Trader Hugh’s is thethird or fourth Trader you find, depending on which biome you prefer to go to first, and it’s worth it tosearch for him if you’re using guns.
He sellsall sorts of ammotypes, including higher-tier variantslike HiPower ammo, as well asweapon parts and modsand some ofthe same general itemslike food, water, and different magazines.
Besides zombies, you’ll want to watch out for anywolves, bears, or cougars roaming the area, as they attack quickly and can shred through even heavy armor quickly.
From thesame starting pointas the others, being the residential area with McMillan Residence in theupper center area of the Forest:
Trader Joel
Despite being one of the easier traders to get to as far as direct routes, Trader Joel isone of the two most difficult traders to reach, alongside Hugh, due to thedifficulty of the Wastelandbiome.
Trader Joel specializes in carryinghigher-tier armor piecesanddifferent armor modsalongside the usual items andhis missionswill all lead you tolocations within the Wastelandsbiome.
Make sure you’ve gotat least one weapon with the Rad Remover modon it to help with killing the frequent radiated zombies you’ll encounter before you find Joel.
Starting at thesame point as the other tradersfor a general route – the residential area with theMcMillan and Goldsmith Residences in the Forest– you’ll have apretty direct routeto Joel.
You can find several small and mediumlootable ammo pilesalong the different watchtowers, as well as somebroken crafting stationsat the bottom of the building.
