Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrailhas added new areas to explore, increased the level cap to 100, and added a host of quests, new items, and lots more besides. That of course means that there are brand new Timeworn Treasure Maps to discover to take part in Treasure Hunt.

There are two new maps added: Timeworn Br’aaxskin Treasure Maps and Timeworn Loboskin Treasure Maps, so if you’re trying to find out where to get your hands on one of these, look no further. Here’s everything you need to know.

Where To Find Timeworn Br’aaxskin And Loboskin Treasure Maps

Timeworn Br’aaxskin Treasure Maps and Timeworn Loboskin Treasure Mapscan be gathered by a Miner or Botanist from Level 100 gathering nodes in any of the Dawntrail areas.

Timeworn Br’aaxskin Treasure Maps are Grade 17, while Timeworn Loboskin Treasure Maps are grade 16.

If you don’t have a Miner or Botanist leveled, you can instead buy these maps from the Market Board.

How To Dechiper And Use Timeworn Br’aaxskin And Loboskin Treasure Maps

Once you have your map, you can select it from your inventory and choose’Decipher’to use it, which will convert it to a Key Item and show you a portion of a map that you have tomatch to the correct location.

Once deciphered, you can no longer trade or sell your map.

Once you’ve matched the location, you canuse the ‘Dig’ actionto discover the Treasure Chest. Opening the Treasure Chest willspawn monsters that you have to defeatbefore you can reap the rewards, however, the enemies can be particularly tough so it’s recommended that youtackle this in a party.
