You don’t have to be playing as a romance counselor inThe Sims 4: Lovestruckexpansion pack to console someone who’s lost someone special! The Ring Bear quest is a long one that involves love, adventure, and lots andlotsof fishing along the way.
There’s quite a lot of text you’ll need help translating, though, so keep heading back to the Ring Bear for clues and Gnomish translation assistance. You’ll need to help the Ring Bear locate their lost jewelry, which then allows your Sim to activate a Confidence boost to help them succeed a bit more in love.
Fish The Rizz Ring Out Of The Heart-Shaped Lake
The first step to completing the Ring Bear’s quest in The Sims 4: Lovestruck is actuallyfindingthe Ring Bear. To do this, you’ll need to head to theMedia Naranja parkinthe pack’s world, Ciudad Enamorada. It’s a pretty big lot, butthe Ring Bearis relatively easy to find. During the day, they’ll be near theheart-shaped pondon the lot, while at night, you’ll instead find themcrying on a benchnearby.
There are a few socialization options with the Ring Bear in The Sims 4: Lovestruck, most of which offer assorted tutorials on different elements of love and dating introduced in the pack. you’re able to even progressively get more aggressive inasking about the costume, too, but the one that moves your quest forward isAsk About Sadness.
Just be mindful that your Sim will become Sad if they offer the RIng Bear a pity hug. It’s only a two-hour moodlet, but still.
The Ring Bear tells you that they’vethrown a ringin the heart-shaped pondand implies the ring has some kind of power to it. To help the Ring Bear, grab your rod and some bait - you’re going fishing.
You’ll need tofish the ring out of the pondon the lot for Media Naranja, which probably won’t be instantaneous, since there are plenty of actual fish (and other weird loot) to catch in the pond as well. To cast your line, head to the fishing sign at the top-left of the heart, if you’re looking at it from above.
You might do better by raising your fishing level a bit, since we had a few pop-ups telling us the fish in the pond were a bit above our skill level. We started with no fishing skills at all, and reached just under Fishing level 7 before we fished up the ring, so prepare for a long bit of fishing.
Fishuntil youcatch the Strange Ring. It goes into your inventory, where you canexamine it, but your Sim isn’t able to read it. Head back to Media Naranja park andask the Ring Bear about the ring. It directs you to the fountain in Plaza Mariposa just outside the park, sosearch the fountain for cluesbefore returning to the Ring Bear again.
Unlock The Ring In CAS, Unlock A Confidence Boost
Ultimately, the Ring Bear sends you to the elaborate wall just outside ofLaguna Del Abrazoin the Vista Hermosa neighborhood of Ciudad Enamorada. Travel to the lounge and venture across the street to thelarge artwork of a man and womanacross the street, which tells you torub the ring in your inventoryto “activate” it.
This technically finishes the Ring Bear quest in The Sims 4: Lovestruck, unlocking the ring permanently for your Sim. Activating it offers aboost to Confidencethat canimprove the success of romantic socialsused while the moodlet is active, with a greenish aura around your Sim while the effect is in place.
The ring is also unlocked in Create-a-Sim following the completion of the Ring Bear quest.
