Ahoy, and welcome to one of the best things aboutCat Quest 3- the ship. Within moments of booting up the game, you’ll receive your very own pirate-themed boat. You’ll use this boat to sail the high seas of the Purribean and the Sunset Islands. But you’ll also engage in combat with it.

The combat angle is precisely where ship upgrades come into play. As you explore, you will periodically obtain new parts to equip to an increasing number of upgrade slots, allowing you to customize your ship to serve you best. Here’s everywhere we’ve found ourselves a fresh ship part.

Ammo Capacity+ is found in the overworld of Cat Quest 3.

Ship Part Locations In Cat Quest 3

We presently have information on 14 out of 17 ship upgrade locations. We’vefound15, but we’ll need to trek back to piece togethere where we got the Pawer Boost. While we work to ascertain where the heck the last three could be, we’ll be sure to add them in as soon as we’ve found them.

Found atFort Purricade on Purricade Island, which is northwest of Catuga

where you start the game.

Increases ship damage by five percent.

Not great. Only use it when you’ve got nothing else to slot in.

A bit better, but still nothing to write home about.

Ammo Capacity+

A treasure chest near thegate that’s guarded by Pi-rats on Fort Wreck.

Increases special ammo capacity by one.

Pretty solid. The special ammo refers to special cannonpaws, which are powerful but limited in number.

Do bear in mind, special cannonpaw recharges with time - but it’s still better to have more on-hand.

Ammo Capacity++

You mustfree the Purrmaid who is trapped behind a gateon the west side of

A treasure chest inside theOrion Ruins.

Reduces cannon cooldowns by ten percent.

Decent choice if you have a spare slot. Firing the regular cannons a tad faster is never a bad thing.

Firing Rate++

Begin theside quest on the Love Purr Islands. You’ll find it inside the castle there.

Thethird and final cave that the side questsends you to includes this treasure.

Reduces cannon cooldowns by 15 percent.

Better, and worth pairing up with Firing Rate+ if possible. Combined, a 25 percent reduction in cooldown

can be fairly significant.

Cannon Reload+

Ruined Castle on the south part of Purvanna. Go left past the Fort Beakon

at the entrance on the first floor.

Increases special ammo reload by 25 percent.

Fantastic - the special cannonpaw ammo is the most important part of staying alive during ship combat.

Cannon Reload++

Solve the four blue block puzzle at the maze islands near the 8-bit dungeon

in the northwest of the map. To do so, make sure you’re inside your ship, take

account of the Roman numeral beside each one, and navigate the narrow stream

swiftly enough to get them all.

Reloads some special ammo when damaged.

Maybe the worst ship part. We’re not sure we would ever recommend to players that they should rely

upon the hopes of getting hit during ship combat in order to pump up their volley of special cannonpaws.

A treasure chest insideAntares Tower,an island just north ofLovepurr Isles.

Increases ship health by 15 percent.

Might be worth it if you combine it with Ship Hull+, but unless you really have slots to spare, we’d advise

against doing so.

Magma Cannonpaw

Defeat the Boar King on Purvanna. You’ll need to do so to open the gate

Press the specified button to fire a barrage of

magma cannonballs on enemies.

Probably our least favorite special cannonpaw, since the damage is a bit lower than the rest, and there’s

no homing ability to make up for it. That said, if you may get them all to hit, it’s quite fierce.

Press the specified button to blast super

cannonballs at enemies.

The damage modifier on this as you level up is quite high. Recommended.

Electric Cannonpaw

Defeat Meowtallikurse. This is Captain Meowtallika’s flagship, which roams

Meowtallika Bay.You need to destroy it in order to gain a ticket to his concert

Press the specified button to fire electric

cannonballs that home in for rapid damage.

It’s worth including once you have most of your ship upgrade slots unlocked, but we’d suggest something

that hits harder for a special cannonpaw choice until then.

The Fires of Cathulhu

Defeat Cathulhu, the second-hardest ship fight in Cat Quest 3. Both Cathulhu

and Duck of Doom are purely optional encounters. In order to get Cathulhu to

show up at its lair in the northeast portion of the map,you must bring the Jug o'

Launches an additional homing fireball for

every special cannonpaw.

Nearly the best ship part in the game (the next one isthebest). Adding a heavy-damage attack

with homing capabilities not only means additional damage, of course. It also means you’re almost

guaranteed to hit at least once every time you fire a special cannonpaw.

The Fowlmidable

Defeat the Duck of Doom,AKA the hardest ship fight in Cat Quest 3.

You’ll find the Duck of Doom roaming the western Purribean in various locations.

Launches an additional powered cannonball

for every special cannonpaw.

Simply put, the best ship part in the game, as befits the reward for this quest. You’ve not only doubled

your special cannonball inventory, but there’s zero lag time between the first/second and third/fourth

shots.

Pawer Boost

We’re not sure when this part entered our inventory, but we’ll let you know soon!

Allows you to damage enemies when boosting.

Excellent for most battles. you may’t reach Cathulhu with it but it’s great even against Duck of Doom.

With Pawer Boost, you can ram into ships, greatly expanding your options.

Ship Hull ++: Antares Tower, an island just north of Lovepurr Isles
