Nanaya’s Torch is a new type of Torch added to theElden Ringwith the release of Shadow of the Erdtree. It comes with the Weapon Skill: Feeble Lord’s Frenzied Flame, which causes Madness buildup for everyone in the vicinity including the caster. It has an E scaling in Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Faith. You can also upgrade it using Somber Smithing Stones.
While a fun weapon to experiment with, Nanaya’s Torch can be a little elusive if you do not know where to start looking, since it is tucked behind a few secret pathways.
How To Get Nanaya’s Torch
You will find Nanaya’s Torch in Midra’s Manse,a small dungeon in the Abyssal Woods.
The Abyssal Woods is a hidden area you can access by following a series of secret passagewaysleading to the Darklight Catacombs. Inside the catacombs, you will need todefeat Jori, Elder Inquisitorto reach the Abyssal Woods.
From the ‘Manse Hall’ Site of Grace,hit the painting on the left wall to open a secret passage. Reach the end of the hallway to meet a Horned Warrior. Once defeated, head inside the dining room filled with Shadow Undead.
Do not linger in the dining room for long asthere is a Shadow Undead on the upper balcony hurlingFrenzy incantations.
Exit the dining room from a door on the left to meet another Horned Warrior.From the door you leave the dining room, head right, and then left to find a lever you can pull. This will cause a ladder to appear in the far-right corner of the area.
Head up the ladder, andyou will eventually reach the balcony where the Shadow Undead was casting Frenzy incantations. Deal with him and head up another ladder directly behind him.
You will arrive at the broken rafters with ‘Midra’s Library’ Site of Grace at the end of the path.As you are heading toward the Site of Grace, you will hear the cries of an NPC from the boss’ arena, but there is no need to worry about it now.
Rest at the Site of Grace if you need and continue ahead to deal with an enemy. Once you are done,head down the ladder on the right and turn back immediately to find a room with a painting. Like before, hit the painting to reveal yet another secret passage.
Run up the stairs and then a ladder to come across another lever you can pull. From there,jump through the broken railing to land on a stone platformin front of you. And from there,jump onto the small wooden ledgealong the wall. Continue to run along the path while jumping over the gaps to reach a corpse on a chair holding Nanaya’s Torch.
If you need aRevered Spirit Ash, you can jump down from the wooden ledge to fight a tough enemy but will have to backtrack all the way.
