InDisney Dreamlight Valley, everyone gets a chance to be someone new. While most heroes stay the same, it’s the villains who truly shine. Most of them find ways to coexist in the village without stirring up too much trouble, but Jafar struggles with letting go of his nefarious ways.

After causing chaos in the village and Eternity Isle, it’s up to you to hold him accountable for his actions and punish his crimes. How you go about this will set the precedent for future conflicts in the village, and we’ll help you get everything in order to have a successful trial.

How To Unlock The Trial of Eternity Quest

After foiling Jafar’s schemes with Oswald, you’ll need toreach level ten friendshipwith the royal vizier to unlock the next quest. You’ll also need to haveunlocked Remy beforeit can begin.

Once the requirements are met,talk to Jafarabout holding a trial to start the quest. While he has his own version of events that occurred, you’ll need tospeak with the others around Eternity Isle to see what really happened.

Prepare for the trial by talking to the following characters:

Each of them will tell you about how Jafar has been acting lately during his probation. You’ll still need tohold a trial to keep Jafar accountableand determine if he should be exiled from the community for his crimes.

Each person will have something different to say, and Oswald will help select a judge for the trial!

Scrooge will help you prepare for the courtroom, but you’ll need tocraft the furniture yourself. You’ll need twoAttorney Stands and Bamboo Benches. Below are the crafting recipes and how to get the materials for them:

Found in the Wild Tangle.

Crafted with Copper (3), Zinc (2), and Coal Ore.

Found while fishing in Ancient’s Landing or breaking rubble with a shovel.

Crafted using Seaweed.

After you’ve crafted the furniture,take it to the Ancient Ruinsand hand it over to Gaston, who will set everything up for you. Then,talk to Oswaldto see if he has determined who will be an impartial judge.

Surprise! It’s you.

You have the option ofpurchasing the Commodore’s Powdered Wigfrom Scrooge’s Store, and you’ll need todress up using Elegant clothing. Once you’re ready for the trial,head to the Ancient Ruins.

How To Begin The Trial

To begin the trial,approach the Judge’s Chairin front of the two Attorney Stands.Listen to Scrooge and Jafar debatebefore calling upon your first witness: Gaston.

Gaston will share his testimony and what he thinks Jafar’s punishment should be. Jafar and Scrooge will debate yet again before you mustcall upon Oswaldto share his experiences.

While Oswald shares his testimony, he brings up a good point: Jafar must have been able to get along with everyone before the Forgetting, so there must be memories of him doing so. You only need tofind these good memoriesto prove it!

Sentencing Jafar In Eternity Isle

Using your Royal Hourglass, head out of the Ancient Ruins andsearch the island for good memories. You’ll need to check the following areas tofind memories of Jafargetting along with other villagers:

With all the good memories uncovered,return to the Ancient Ruinsand take your place by the Judge’s Chair. Present the newfound evidence anddeliver Jafar’s sentenceto conclude the trial and immediately begin the next quest.
