As you go through the different areas ofOnce Human, you’ll commonly find quite a variety of ores. These are an essential item if you want to make anything in the game, which means most of your time will be spent grinding for them. However, this isn’t true for every ore out there.
There are special ores like the Gold Ore which is very rare to find, but there’s a high chance that it’s also completely useless for you. If you’re looking for this ore, here’s how you can increase your chances of getting it.
Where To Get Gold Ore
Unlike the main types of ore like Tungsten or Iron, you can’t findGold Orescattered around in a specific place. Instead, this is a special ore that has an RNG-based spawn. Whenever an ore node is depleted, there’s a chance that the Gold Ore will spawn in its place, but this is only possible in the Red Sands area.
You can unlock this area fairly early, but it contains level 40+ enemies,which makes it quite dangerous for low-level players. Once you’re geared enough, you can go into this area and search for this ore. It can be distinctly identified with massive yellow parts on the ore itself, way more than you’dfind on a Copper Ore.
Gold Ore can be a little easy to miss since its color isnearly the same as the terrain in Red Sands, so you have to keep your eyes peeled.
One way of trying to get Gold Ore to spawn is by heading into an area with high ore density and using a four-wheeler vehicle to destroy them all. Since you’ll be destroying so many of them,there’s a chance that you’ll spawn some Gold Oreon the next cycle. However, this method is quite unreliable.
You’ll also need a high-tier axe or drill to be able to mine this ore, and you can only get the maximum output with the highest tierand certain specializations.
How To Use Gold Ore
If you’ve encountered a bunch of Gold Ore but aren’t sure where to use it, there’s a high chance that it’s completely useless for you. Unfortunately, to be able to make use of this Ore, you need a specific specialization, whichlets you smeltGold OreandSilver OreintoSilver Ingot, which can then be sold to merchants for a high price.
Each Gold Ore can be sold to merchants for awhopping 12,000 Energy Link. However, if you don’t have the specialization, you can try totrade this Ore with someone who has itin exchange for Gold bars or Energy Link.
Gold Orecan also be used in some high-tieritems like the Portable Fridgeto make them more efficient.
