Somber Smithing Stone is an upgrade material inElden Ringused to upgrade your Special Weapons. These are a little rarer compared to normal Smithing Stones, but going out of your way to farm them is completely worth the effort, since some of the best weapons in Elden Ring are categorized as Special Weapons.

Where To Find Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearings

There arefive Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearingshidden in The Lands Between. Once found, you cangive them to the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold. This will allow you topurchase an infinite amount of Somber Smithing Stones from them.

Note that the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold willnever sell the Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones. You can only find a few of them in the open world.

Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing 1

You will need todefeat the Fallingstar Beast in Sellia Crystal Tunnelin Caelid. The easiest way to get there is toopen the chest in Dragon-Burnt Ruins in Limgrave. This will allow you to purchaseSomber Smithing Stone [1]andSomber Smithing Stone [2]at the Roundtable Hold.

Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing 2

You will find it afterdefeating the Crystalians in the Altus Tunnel.Ash of War: Savage Lion’s Claw,Ash of War: Wild Strikes, shield bash from something like theFingerprint Stone Shield, etc. are super effective against them. You will find the area near the south of the Minor Erdtree in the Altus Plateau. you may give the item to the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold to be able to purchase infiniteSomber Smithing Stone [3]andSomber Smithing Stone [4].

Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing 3

This one ison a corpse right outside the First Church of Marika in Mountaintops of the Giants. It will allow you to purchaseSomber Smithing Stone [5]andSomber Smithing Stone [6]from the Twin Maiden Husks.

From the ‘Tempest-Facing Balcony’ Site of Grace inCrumbling Farum Azula, walk a little forward, and you will find it on a corpse at the edge. Bring the item to the Twin Maiden Husks to unlock the ability to purchaseSomber Smithing Stone [7]andSomber Smithing Stone [8]infinitely.

To get the last one, head over to the ‘Dragon Temple Rooftop’ Site of Grace inCrumbling Farum Azula. From the rooftops, continue to run toward the dragon. Try to run past the dragon while sticking to the right side. You will soonreach a church with an Azula Beastmanfacing the item. This one lets you purchaseSomber Smithing Stone [9]from the Roundtable Hold.

Immediately after entering the church, you willget ambushed by some enemies. Try to eliminate them before collecting the item.
