Elden Ring, like many of FromSoftware’s games, can be pretty tough. Being open-world, it can be harder to balance around a player that could simply set off in any direction, and that goes doubly so for Shadow of the Erdtree. Without being able to know what every player might have, a new system was introduced.
Scadutree Blessings operate as a new levelling system for the Realm of Shadow, increasing your stats exponentially rather than the incremental increases from Rune Levels. With 50 to collect to max you out at a level 20 blessing, however, you might find yourself struggling. We’re here to help.
If you’re not the linguistics nerd you should be, you’ll be shocked to learn that ‘Scadu’ is actually pronounced like ‘Shadow’ as it’s an Old English word.
Gravesite Plains
Excluding Belurat and Enir-Ilim,there are eight Scadutree Fragmentsto find in the Gravesite Plains, the opening area of Shadow of the Erdtree.
Scadutree Fragments 1-2
Following the pathsouth of the Scorched Ruinswill bring you to the Church of Consolation, and inside will be two Scadutree Fragments.
Scadutree Fragments 3
Directlynorth of the Scorched Ruins, you’ll find the Crossroads Cross. The Scadutree Fragment will be resting here.
Scadutree Fragments 4
Justacross the Ellac Greatbridge, you will find the Scadutree Fragment resting at the foot of a headless Marika statue at the center of the military camp.
Scadutree Fragments 5
Going south once you’re across the Ellac Greatbridge, you will find Bloodfiends and Messmer soldiers fighting. Continue past them andtake the path to the left downwardsuntil you reach the Pillar Path Cross, and the Scadutree Fragment resting there.
This is also where you find Thiollier, another of Miquella’s followers.
Scadutree Fragments 6
From the Crossroads Terminus Site of Grace, continue to the forest beside Prospect Town tofind an enemy with a sparkling jar on their head. Defeat them and they will drop the Scadutree Fragment.
These enemies will despawn after a few seconds, so make sure to defeat them as quickly as possible.
Scadutree Fragments 7
To thenorth-east of the Scorched Ruins,you will find a group of enemies including one with a sparkling jar. Defeat them to get the Scadutree Fragment.
Scadutree Fragments 8
Following throughthe giant archway from the Crossroads Cross, you will be put at the foot of Belurat, Tower Settlement. Find the Scadutree Fragment by the Miquella’s Cross here.
Ansbach and Moore are also met here.
Scadu Altus
There are17 Scadutree Fragments to be found in Scadu Altus, the most by far of any single region in Shadow of the Erdtree.
Scadutree Fragments 9 - 10
Starting from the Scadu Altus Site of Grace, continue up the path and turn left before the encampment to reachthe Church of the Crusade. Inside will be two Scadutree Fragments.
You will also be invaded by Fire Knight Queelign here so be prepared for a fight.
Scadutree Fragment 11
Directly east of the Scadu Altus Site of Gracewill bring you to the Moorth Ruins. The Scadutree Fragment will be at the Miquella’s Cross.
You will also meet Dryleaf Dane here, who will give you the Dryleaf Arts after you beat him in combat.
Scadutree Fragment 12
At theeastern edge of the Moorth Ruins, you will find an enemy with a sparkling jar. Defeat them quickly to get the Scadutree Fragment.
There will also be a Curseblade in hiding nearby, so be wary of them as well.
Scadutree Fragment 13
Directlynorth of the Moorth Ruinswill be a small pond and a headless statue of Marika. The Scadutree Fragment will be at its feet.
Past this statue is a cave that will eventually lead you to the base of the Rauh Ruins and the map fragment for the region.
Scadutree Fragments 14 - 15
South of the Manus Cathedral anddown the Recluse Riverwill be two Hippos in a wide forested pond area. Defeat them both to get a Scadutree Fragment each.
Scadutree Fragment 16
At thebottom of the waterfallby the Recluse River Downstream Site of Grace, there is another Scadutree Fragment.
Scadutree Fragment 17
By theentrance of the large encampmentin Scadu Altus is another headless statue of Marika. The Scadutree Fragment is at its feet.
Scadutree Fragment 18
After completing Castle Ensis, you will be granted another Site of Grace and Miquella’s Cross. The Scadutree Fragment is right beside it.
Scadutree Fragments 19-23
After making your way through the Shadow Keep and defeating Commander Gaius, you cancontinue upwards to the Scadutree Chalice. Right in front of it will be five Scadutree Fragments to pick up.
Scadutree Fragment 24
Weaving your waynorth of Fort Reprimandwill bring you to the Scaduview Site of Grace and another Miquella’s Cross, alongside one more Scadutree Fragment.
Scadutree Fragment 25
To thenorth-west of Moorth Ruinswill be a small enemy encampment with a statue of Marika, where you will find another Scadutree Fragment.
Rauh Ruins
There are onlyfive Scadutree Fragments to be found in the Rauh Ruinsand the majority of them are dropped by enemies.
Scadutree Fragment 26
This Scadutree Fragment is found by Miquella’s Cross. It will first require you toweave through the caverns of Rauhto work your way down to it first.
Scadutree Fragment 27
Starting from the Minor Viaduct Site of Grace, you will find anenemy with a jar on his head at the top of the stairswhen you first enter the ruins. Defeat them quickly to get the Scadutree Fragment.
Scadutree Fragment 28
Across the bridge with the Furnace Golem, you will find yourself inside more old ruins. Inside you will findan enemy with a large jar that must be defeated quicklyfor the Scadutree Fragment.
Scadutree Fragment 29
At the base of the Rauh region, you will find theTemple Town Ruins. Right in the center of the raised section of the ruins, you will find the Scadutree Fragment on a corpse.
Scadutree Fragment 30
From the Minor Viaduct Site of Grace, you will find anelevator in the nearby pond to the south-east. Take this down to the Hippo, and defeat them to acquire another Scadutree Fragment.
Legacy Dungeons
Within the Legacy Dungeons of Belurat, Enir-Ilim, Castle Ensis, and Shadow Keep, there are12 Scadutree Fragments to collectin total.
Scadutree Fragment 31
Once you reachthe locked checkpoint within Castle Ensis, you will also be given a site of grace and another Miquella’s Cross. A Scadutree Fragment will be resting beside it.
Scadutree Fragment 32
From outside the collapsed staircase with Giant Scorpions within Belurat, there will be some collapsed rubble.Climb over this rubble to get into a hidden areawhere Man-Flies congregate. Inside, you will find another of Miquella’s Crosses and a Scadutree Fragment at its base.
Scadutree Fragment 33
Atthe entrance to the Dark Chamber within Shadow Keepwhere you fight Messmer, there will be a statue of Marika. The Scadutree Fragment will be at its feet.
Scadutree Fragments 34 - 35
Entering the Shadow Keep from the front by Scadu Altus will have you introduced by aboss fight with the Golden Hippopotamus. Like the other Hippos, it will drop Scadutree Fragments on defeat. Two of them, to be precise.
Scadutree Fragment 36
Before entering the large courtyard that leads to another boss battle,first take a turn to the right to pick up a Scadutree Fragmentby the Marika statue.
You can also perform a certain gesture at this statue to gain access to a secret area.
Scadutree Fragment 37
Within the Specimen Storehouse of Shadow Keep, you will find another Miquella’s Cross bearing another Scadutree Fragment. To reach here, you mustcircle around the wall outside the Storehouse. A hole in the wall can be found near the site of grace beside Freyja.
Scadutree Fragment 38
Most likelyentered from the eastern stretch of Scadu Altus, this Scadutree Fragment can be found in the Sunken Church District of Shadow Keep. In the central church, there will be a Scadutree Fragment in the statue of Marika’s hand.
Be careful jumping to reach it, as falling in the water here will mean instant death if you haven’t drained it yet.
Scadutree Fragment 39
After reaching Enir-Ilim, you will discoverthe Cleansing Chamber near the summit. Here, you will find a Scadutree Fragment on an altar.
Scadutree Fragment 40
Outside of the Spiral Rise Site of Grace, run back andjump down from the bridge to another broken bridge below. This will lead to a larger secret location that will have you scaling along the walls of Enir-Ilim. Once you jumped through a window into a larger area, you will find a Scadutree Fragment by a draped statue.
Continue further on past here to get the Euporia Twinblade.
Scadutree Fragment 41
While making your ascent across the rooftops of Enir-Ilim, you will come acrossa tower that spirals up multiple levels. Within one of these levels, you will find a Scadutree Fragment on an altar.
Scadutree Fragment 42
Resting by theMiquella’s Cross by the Spiral Rise in Enir-IlimSite of Grace will be yet another Scadutree Fragment.
Everywhere Else
The remainingeight Scadutree Fragmentsare found across the Abyssal Woods, Jagged Peak, Charos Grave, the Cerulean Coast, and the Fissure.
Scadutree Fragments 43 - 44
Travelling to the far east ofthe Abyssal Woodswill lead you to an abandoned church. By the Site of Grace within will betwo Scadutree Fragments.
Did you know you’re able to parry the Untouchables in the Abyssal Woods to open them up for a parry? Defeating them grants you the Aged One’s Exultation talisman.
Scadutree Fragment 45
To the north of the Abyssal Woods, you will finda large tree and many Inquisitors protecting it.The Scadutree Fragment will be at the base of the tree.
Scadutree Fragment 46
In the Cerulean Coast, you’re able to find a single Scadutree Fragment in a cave protected by a Demi-Human. Travel north from the Cerulean Coast West Site of Grace and you will findthe cave guarded by a few of those cute blue ethereal worms.
Scadutree Fragment 47
Further south in the Cerulean Coast you will find another of Miquella’s Crosses and a Scadutree Fragment,close to where you find the map fragment for this region.
Scadutree Fragment 48
This Scadutree Fragment is acquired from defeating the Hippo of the Hidden Graves of Charos. This area is most easily reached bydropping from from the calcified corpse of the giant dragonat the foot of the Jagged Peak.
Scadutree Fragment 49
This Scadutree Fragment is located within the Fissure, whichcan only be accessed after Miquella’s discards his Great Rune. Afterwards, it can be entered through the southernmost tip of the Cerulan Coast. By the Miquella’s Cross within will you find the Scadutree Fragment.
Scadutree Fragment 50
This is the only Scadutree Fragment on the Jagged Peak, and can be found after defeating the duo battle of Jagged Peak Drakes. You’ll know you’re in the right area becauseyou’ll hear Igon screaming. Continue past this, up the spiritspring and you will find the Scadutree Fragment.
