Painting inEte, discovering new objects, drawing inspiration from them, and doing paid work for the people you meet is fun. At the start of the game, Marianne, the first person you meet, will ask you for your favorite color. After that, you can only paint with this color and its shades.
To unlock other colors, you need to collect pigments. Paintings made without pigments can be a bit dull, so it’s a good idea to collect them as soon as possible to create the best artwork. Don’t worry, this guide is here to help you add more color to your paintings.
How To Use The Pigments
At the start of the game, when you first move into your apartment,Marianne will give you the first color you chose.To unlock other colors, you need to collect pigments found in various locations throughout the game. While at home, you canuse the Dyes button to unlock new colorswith the pigments you’ve collected.
Every time you collect three pigments, you’re able to unlock a color of your choice. There are atotal of 48 pigments availableto find in the game.
Where To Find All The Pigments In The Apartment
There is only one pigment you can find in the apartment. Go to your garden, and you will find this pigmentunder the stairs leading to your apartment.
Where To Find All The Pigments In The Market
After your apartment, the first place you need to go in the game is the Market. The Market isn’t a very large place, but finding some pigments here can be challenging. Here are the locations of all the pigments there:

Exit your apartment and head to the market area. Go straight ahead and you will see it ontop of a small cylindrical structure.
You can find this pigmenton the balcony of the second floor of Marianne’s antique shop.Marianne’s store is located across from the café.
After getting a bikefrom the bicycle shop,open the large back doorof this shop. This will lead you to both the Railroad area entrance and the pigment.
As youhead towards Marianne’s antique shop across from the café, you will see a closed blue umbrella on your left. To its right,open the back of a covered truck.You will find this pigment inside.
Where To Find All The Pigments In The Park
Compared to the Market, the Park is quite a large area. In fact, it can be said to be thelargest area in the game.Although it is mostly covered with trees, it has very specific locations, and it is the placewhere you can find the most pigments. Here are the locations of all the pigments in the Park:
When you first enter the Park, you will see this pigmentunder the dome of the gazeboin the center.
When you first enter the Park,approach the gazeboin the center.Then turn right, go down the first set of stairs, and follow the path. After passing the fox on the path, you willsee a fallen logfurther ahead. If youlook to the left,you will see this pigmenton the rock where one end of the log rests.
When you first enter the Park,approach the gazeboin the center. Thenturn right,go down the first set of stairs, andwhen you see the fox, turn leftand go down the stairs. Afterpassing through the wooden-covered passage, proceed to the right.
Then turn right againbefore climbing the large stairsbetween the lion statues.Enter through the wooden door, and you will see an area full of pumpkins and crows. On your left, you willsee this pigment behind the scarecrow.
(This area is open from Tuesday to Sunday, between Midday and Afternoon.)
Go to thearea opposite where you found the previous pigment.This is a kind of playground, and you willsee this pigment inside the rings in the central water area.
Exit the area with the water rings where you found the previous Pigment.Turn your back on the large stairs between the lion statues.Go straight ahead without turning anywhere.Pass the bike rack, and after youpass the second bench on the left, turn around and look ahead. You willsee a fountain to your left, and the pigment will be on top of it.
After collecting the previous pigment from the fountain,continue straight ahead and proceed under the bridge.Directlyunderneath the bridge, you will see this pigment floating above the water.
After collecting the previous pigment,leave the area under the bridgeand continue moving forward. After a while, when you look to the right, you willsee a small island in the center of the pond.To reach the center of the pond,continue along the path until you see a red bicycle.Turn your back to it, and you willfind stones leading to the areain the center of the pond.
After collecting the pigment in the center of the previous island,leave the island in the middle of the pond and head towards the red bicycle.To its right, you willsee stairs going up.Use them, and when the path splits,turn right.Follow the path and climb the next set of stairs. Continue forward, and you will find this pigmentunder the playground dome on your left.
After collecting the previous pigment,leave the area with the playground domeand continue forward until yousee a wooden passagewith a red bicycle in front of it. At the end of this passage, you willreach an area with tennis tables.You will find this pigmentin the part of the area that resembles a balcony.
When you first enter the Park,approach the gazebo in the center.Then turn right, go down the first set of stairs, andwhen you see the fox, turn leftand go down the stairs.After passing through the wooden-covered passage, turn rightand climb the large stairs between the lion statues.
Pass through the areabetween the blue booth and the giant angel monument.Look to the left and go up the stairs between the streetlights. When you reach the other set of stairs,pass through the small gap on the right side of the stairsand follow the path the stairs take.
After crossing the rocky area, you willsee this pigment in a watery area.It’s quite challenging to return from where you found this pigment, so use the bicycle to leave the area.
Go to the area in the park where the large freedom statue in the shape of an angel is located.Head to the side where the statue’s backis facing. You willsee a sign showing the park map.Behind it,in front of the cliff’s base, this pigment will be waiting for you.
Upon entering the park,head to the left of the gazebo and follow the path.After descending two sets of stairs, you willreach the pond.Turn left and continue along the path. Afterpassing the third bench, go up the stairs and then turn left.
You will see tables with chess and checkers games. Behind the streetlamp in this area, you willfind a large tree in the corner.The pigment will be behind it.
Where To Find All The Pigments In The Neighborhood
After collecting all the pigments in the Park, you can start hunting for those in the Neighborhood. There are quite a few pigments here, and to find some of them, you’ll need to enter local shops. Here are their locations:
As soon as you enter the Neighborhood from the Park you willsee a bagel shop on your right.There isa 3D sign in the shape of a bagel above its door.The pigment is located right in thecenter of the bagel.You can collect it from a distance.
When you first enter the Neighbourhood from the Park, you willsee a bagel shop on the right side.Go to the front of its door and move to the left. You willsee a narrow alley between two buildings.At the end of this alley, you will find this pigmentamong the sunflowers.
You willsee a bookstore across from the bagel shop.To its right,there will be stairs leading up to the upper floor of the adjacent building.Use them, and you will find this pigmenton the balconyof the upper floor.
Go to the bookstoreacross from the bagel shop. Take the door to your left andproceed along the sidewalk.After passing a yellow van, turn left, and you willsee a laundry shop.Enter the shop and you willsee six washing machines in front of you.
Open the door of thewashing machine that islocated at the top and in the middle,and you will find this pigment.(This shop is open in the morning, midday, and afternoon.)
Leave the laundry shop where you collected the previous pigment and cross the street. You willarrive at an ice cream shop.Turn left and cross the street again.Reach the store with the sign ‘Depanneur Roger’.Enter the store, and you will find this pigmentin the storage room at the back.(This store is open during midday, afternoon, and evening.)
Leave the storewhere you collected the previous pigment and turn left, proceeding along the sidewalk. Outside the store,there will be a metal box with an ice symbolon it.Open it, and you will find this pigment.
Start at the ice box outside the Depanneur Rogerstore where you found the previous pigment andproceed along the sidewalk.On your left, you willsee a Christmas-themed house.There is a pigmenton the upper floor of this house.you’re able to reach the upper floor using the stairs on the right.
Start from the front of the Christmas-themed housewhere you found the previous pigment.In the alley between this house and the Depanneur Rogerstore, there is a wooden door. Open it and proceed inside.Open the green trash bin there, and you will find the pigment inside.
From the sidewalk to theleft of the entrance to Depanneur Roger, head straight. When youreach the red car, turn right and use the black fire escape stairs to climb to the roofof the building. You will find this pigment on the roof.
After collecting the previous pigment,descend from the roof.You’ll see a building in the corner,two buildings to the right of the birdcage shopacross from the red car. You’ll find this pigmentbehind the iron-barred gateof that building.
There is a brick on the wallat the location where you previously collected a pigmentthat you can interact with.Press that brick, and you willfind the hidden area of the bar.You will find this pigment at the corner of the bar,above the spiral stairs.
Where To Find All The Pigments In The Alleyway
Alleyway, as the name suggests, is a region with a narrow street. Most of the pigments here arehidden in the gardens or balconies of the buildingsalong this street. Since some buildings’ doors are closed at certain times of the day, it’s helpful to watch for the right time. Here are the locations of all the pigments in this area:
Go to your kitchenin the apartment anduse the door to enter the Alleyway area.After descending the fire escape,exit through the yellow gatein the garden. Thenturn left. Open the iron-barred gateand enter. You willsee a toppled apple buckethere. The pigment will be inside it.

Use the black fire escape to the right of the signpostto go up. After descending again using the black fire escape, you’ll find yourself in a small backyard.The pigment will be waiting beside a dog plushieand in front of the iron bars.
Use the door in your kitchento access the Alleyway area. Descend the fire escape stairs andexit the garden using the yellow door.Proceed straight ahead, and you’ll see hopscotch symbols on the ground. When you’re at the start of the hopscotch symbols,climb the black stairs on your right.Then, while on the balcony,go up one more levelusing the spiral staircase. You will find this pigment on the table on the balcony.
Return to the area with the hopscotch markingswhere you previously found the pigment. Look to your left and you willsee a wooden garden gate.Open it, thenclimb the black stairs and turn left.Use the spiral stairs toreach the third floor.Turn right andproceed by ducking under the wooden plank.This will lead you to the location of the pigment.
Use the fire escape on the opposite balconywhere you collected the previous pigment todescend to the garden on the lowest floor.You will find this pigmentinside the wooden shednext to the three trash bins.
Start from the hopscotch marks. Move forward andpass the signboard.After progressing enough, you willsee a tub filled with plantsat the end of the path.Turn rightfrom here, and you willsee a wooden garden gate.You will find this pigmentamong the plants and on the circular arrangement of stones.
Start from the tub filled with plantsthat you approached for the previous pigment. Look around, and you willsee a garage door with graffition it.Climb the spiral staircase to the right of it.After reaching the next floor, you will arrive at a balcony with a Canadian flag.
Go up one more floor. From this balcony,look towards the pink tree outside, and you willsee the pigment on the clothesline.Interact with the round mechanism attached to the clothesline on the balcony’s railing, and the pigment will come towards you.
Descend the spiral staircase from the balconywhere you collected the previous pigment, and you willsee an apartment in front of you.Move towards it, climb one floor up the spiral staircase, and you willfind the pigment on top of a trash can.
Start in front of the bathtub filled with plantsin the middle of the road. Enter thegarden of the building to the left of the balloon and flag-decorated apartmentin front of you.Climb the spiral staircase to the top floor, and you will find this pigment.
As soon as you enter the Neighborhood from the Park,go to the café located between the bookstore and the laundry shop.Use the café’s door to access the Alleyway zone. Once inside, turn left, and you willfind the pigment among the tables.The door of this café may be open at certain times of the day.
Open the wooden door to theright of the bike rack.This door is not always open. If it’s not open when you go,try again on Friday at middayand paint most of the items around the door. After opening the door,enter the garden and go up the spiral stairs to the top.You will find the pigment on the balcony at the very top.
Where To Find All The Pigments In The Railroad
The railroad consists of two areas: a maze-like space with colorful containers and a skateboarding area. Most of the pigments are found inside the containers, but there are also some located in quite different places. Here are their locations:
Enter the Railroad areathrough the back door of the bike shop.Afterpassing between two trains, climb the stairs.Walk along the planks on the blue containerto the left and reach the solar panel. You willfind this pigment behind the solar panel.
Enter the Railroad area through the back door of the bike shop. Afterpassing between two trains, climb the stairs. Turn right and walk over the containers.Pass through the yellow containerand continue forward. On your right, you will see two tents. You will find this pigmentinside the blue tent.
Pass through the tentswhere you found the previous pigment anddescend below the containers.As soon as youreach the barbecue area, turn leftand proceed through the containers to the area with shopping carts and blue porta-potties. You’ll find this pigmentinside the blue porta-potty on the left.
Enter the Railroad area through the back door of the bike shop. After passing between two trains,go through the green container.You will find this pigmentinside the red tramcar ahead, which has plants inside.
Enter the Railroad from the Neighborhood. You can reach it from the entrance gate at theend of the sidewalk past the Christmas-themed housein the Neighborhood. Once inside the Railroad area,go up the stairs in front of you to find the skatepark.In one of the skatepark’s bowls, you’ll find the pigment waiting for you.
Start at the entrance to the Skatepark areain the Railroad zone. To your immediate right, you’llsee stairs going down.Move across the grass to the right of the signpost and follow the path.Duck under the yellow diagonal containerand turn left.Open the pink container, and you’ll find the pigment inside.
Start at the entrance to the Skatepark zonein the Railroad section. Beyond the skatepark bowlsgo up the orange ramp on the leftand proceed along the planks. You’llcome to some wires—duck under them. After crossing over the second train track, turn right. You’llfind the pigment in front of the tree.
Continue past the previous pigment location and you’llsee wires on your right.Duck under these wires andturn right.Open the wire gate. Remember that this area is only open at specific times of the day, such as midday; it will be locked at other times.
Open the door in this areathat resembles a women’s restroom door. As soon as youenter the building, turn leftand open the door with the exit symbol. You’ll find the pigment behind this door.
Enter the Railroadfrom the Neighborhood.Once inside the Railroad area, go up the stairs in front of you. Beyond the skateboard area,go up the orange rampon the left and proceed along the planks.
After descending from the planks,crouch under themand, in the area with a radio, you’ll find this pigmentinside a yellow barrel.
