Enki is Nor’s godly companion inFlintlock: The Siege of Dawn. His magical attacks allow you to inflict curses on foes, setting up combos, but Enki doesn’t have access to his full divine power. You can restore some of his might by recovering the five feathers that he lost during his journeys in the World Above.
The in-game map is kind enough to show you when an Enki Feather is nearby, but most of them require a convoluted climbing route if you want to reach them. Here’s how to get all of them and unlock the Ruffled award.
Gavel Gate
When you first discover that Rammuha has taken over Three Peaks, the way into Gavel Gate is closed.Explore the sea cliffs along the main road northeast of town. There’s an Ancestor behind a cart that indicates where you need to go.
In front of the Ancestor and to the left is a wooden scaffold with a Skull;activate itand use the Rifts to reach the island in the distance. Climb to the top, collecting the resources along the way to use in crafting, and you’ll find the Enki Feather. You can continue on to liberate Gavel Gate, or return later if the occupying knights prove to be too strong.
Enlightened Peak
The side questA Delayed Reunionrequires you to climb the westernmost of the Three Peaks. As you near the summit, keep an eye on the rightfor a wooden walkway; the Enki Feather is there, precariously perched over the edge of the mountain trail. Be sure to collect it before you return to the base, or you’ll have to go back up!
The boost provided to Enki’s attack power will also be useful in the fight with the Dead at the end of the side quest.
Foglands
The marsh north of the Foglands has a ruined tower with an Enki Feather on the roof. Approach the tower andwalk counter-clockwise around the base. You’ll see a ramp leading upward near the spot wheretwo Dead Soldiers and a giant spiderare patrolling.
The left side of the tower is guarded by a Horde, so don’t go clockwise unless you’re looking for a fight! The Horde has a Banner, so you’ll need to deal with them eventually if you’re trying to collect them all.
Climb the ramp and follow the path. When you come to a dead-end, turn around; you’ll see that you cancontinue along the scaffolding in the opposite direction.Winding your way up the tower will bring you to the roof, where you can collect the Feather. Use the Skull to create some Rifts for an easy trip back down.
The feather on the Nomad’s Coast is your reward for completing theAscensionside quest. Start by talking to the Mysterious Woman just north of the Lodestone on the beach. Set the quest to active so that you can follow the quest marker, then start heading up the mountain.
The best path is togo into the jungle, then take a rightand use the ramp to start your ascent. You’ll have to fight some cultists along the way, but most of them are lone foes that should be easy to pick off.
When you talk to the Mysterious Woman again, she’ll disappear to her next location; this one is tricky to find. Climb up to theruined house on a single rocky outcropping, then mantle over the wall. You’ll find a hidden path from which you can jump to a separate area where the Mysterious Woman is waiting. The Skull that you need to reach the summit won’t be usable until you’ve spoken to her at this location.
Return to the main path anduse the Skull overlooking the beach. From here, you can simplyuse the Riftsto reach the top, where the Mysterious Woman will give you the Feather her family has been guarding for generations.
Sibyl’s Teeth
The final Enki Feather is located in the Sibyl’s Teeth, and it’s by far the most difficult to reach. Start from the Sapper Camp and go uphill to the west - there should be some Rifts to facilitate a quick journey. Use the scaffolding to climb to the ledge above and walk past the mudslide, then climb the hill patrolled by the armored cultist to your left.
Continue along the path, butwatch out for grenadiersaround corners and on high ledges. You canuse the Marksman’s Musketto snipe them before they notice you. Climb the scaffolds at the top of the hill and use them totriple-jump across the two mudslides.
The next area is guarded by a group of cultists; take them out, thencontinue counterclockwise around the mountain.Defeat the armored cultist guarding the wooden ledge, then use it toleap to the scaffoldacross the gap. At the top is a Skull that activates the Rift that you need to reach the Feather, but watch out - a Frozen Dead will spawn behind you as you approach the Skull.
Once the Frozen Dead is beaten, ride the Riftto the opposite peak and collect Enki’s Feather.
