Gathering inFinal Fantasy 14: Dawntrailcan be a very lucrative activity. Harvesting rare resources and then selling them to other players, or using them to craft strong equipment for yourself can be a good way to save up your gil or rake in some more, if you know what you’re doing.
Folklore Nodes provide these rare resources at certain times of the Eorzean day, but require high stats to gather. In Dawntrail, there are three mining Folklore Nodes to unlock and gather, which we’ll take a look at below.
How To Unlock Miner Folklore Nodes
Before you can gather Miner Folklore Nodes, you’ll need to unlock them. To do this, you’ll have to purchase the correspondingGeological Folklore tomefrom theScrip Exchange vendorin eitherTuliyollal (X:16.2, Y:11.1)orSolution Nine (X:9.1, Y:13.3).
These tomes each cost1600 Purple Gatherers' Scrips, which can be earned in a variety of ways like turning in Collectables or completingWachumeqimeqi Deliveries. If you want to buy all three books, you’ll need4800 Purple Gatherers' Scrips in total.

Folklore Nodes spawntwice each day of Eorzean time, andlast for two hourswhen they are active. All Folklore Nodes arelevel 100.
