As the name of the game suggests,SteamWorld Heist 2sees you collecting a lot of loot. Venturing through the overworld in your trusty ship, you’ll collect weapons, Gallons (the world’s currency), and even hats to customize your crew with. However, you can claim even more treasure through the bounty system.
Bounties serve as an additional currency that you use to get useful materials. While they might not be as alluring as weapons you may equip directly to your crew, they can be used to upgrade your ship and each steambot’s abilities. By using the bounty system thoughtfully, you can enhance your squad and submarine at an impressive pace.

How To Earn Bounty Points
The bounty system will beintroduced to you following your visit to the first bar in the game. From then on,completing missions will not only earn you reputation(the stars you earn after finishing an encounter), butalso Bounty Points. These Bounty Points can then beredeemed when you next return to the region’s bar.
Completing missions isn’t the only way to get Bounty Points; they can alsobe found in chests scattered around the map or by sinking flagships.
You shouldn’t just chase bounties with reckless abandon;if your submarine is blown up, you lose all your banked points. Thus, it’s recommended that youget back to a bar as soon as possible if you’re in critical condition. However, if you’re feeling daring, you’re able to risk it in pursuit of greater rewards.
How To Use Bounty Points
SteamWorld Heist 2 operates on a calendar system whereeach member of the crew can go on one mission per day before getting tired. The only way to refresh them is bygoing back to a bar and getting a rest, which also happens to behow you spend your Bounty Points.
When you enter, talk to the proprietor of the establishment and choose to end the day. This willopen up a menu that lets you use your Bounty Points, with various items costing different amounts. While you can purchase weapons or Gallons,it’s recommended to invest heavily in Fragments during the early game. These can be used to upgrade your sub and crew, unlocking new perks for them and boosting their combat abilitiessignificantly.
Any leftover Bounty Points will be turned into Gallons at the end of the day,so use as many as you can!
