Heroes and villains live in harmony (for the most part) inDisney Dreamlight Valley, yet sometimes a powerful villain needs more time to cool off from their nefarious schemes. After finally vanquishing Jafar and sealing him away, it seems that Eternity Isle is still suffering from his experiments with time and space.
Thankfully, there’s something you can do about it. Here, we’ll show you how to investigate these lingering effects, research more about them, and ultimately call upon a certain Royal Vizier for assistance. While he was only just put in the lamp, it seems that Jafar’s work is far from over.
How To Start The Lesser Evil Quest
Defeating Jafar was only the beginning. While his schemes were thwarted, Eternity Isle is still struggling withtime and space paradoxes. Not all of them are the result of the Royal Vizier’s experiments, but he does know the most about them.
This quest willnot appear in your loguntil you find the right item!
After completing The Now And Then, make your way to the Glittering Dunes andsearch for a two-dimensional cactus.Pick it up to begin the quest, and you’ll bedirected to Oswald.
Talk with Oswald to learn that he’s been messing with different dimensions. There aretwo more objectsyou’ll need to find:

The Wild Tangle
Once you have all three of these flattened objects,chat with Merlin. He doesn’t know how to resolve the issue, but bets thatJafar has noteson the subject.
Where To Find Jafar’s Notes
After speaking with Merlin,make your way to the palaceand take the western staircase to the laboratory. There arethree sets of notesto find, all of which arelocated on the raised platformin the room.

With all the notes in hand,bring them back to Merlinto go over.
How To Free Jafar From The Lamp
While the notes are detailed, neither you nor Merlin can understand them. Unfortunately, this means you’llneed to free Jafarso he can help you. Merlin tells you how to do so andsends you off to the Cave of Wonders.
Make your way through the cave, all the way to the very last chamber. Climb the staircase to the ancient statue, thenplace Jafar’s Lamp on the pedestal. Use your Royal Hourglass on it tofree Jafar from the lamp!
Talk with himonce he’s no longer trapped to discuss what the future holds. He agrees to help, if only because he has no other options, and goes on his way.You can now befriend himas you would any other villager, though it remains to be seen how well he’ll settle in the valley.
