Due to some odd manufacturing issues, Shrouded Fable is going to be released in waves, with different products out at different times. We will include the release dates of each product here so you know exactly when you can pick up the latest releases.

Since it is a special release, you need to remember that there are no booster boxes for the set, just collections, blisters, and other bundles.

Three Packs Aren’t Bad
Looking to open packs right now? If so, you will want to go with the Shrouded Fable Booster Blister. This little bundle gives you three Shrouded Fable packs and a foil promo card of Pecharunt, a great little Dark Type card to poison out your opponents.

Since Shrouded Fable is releasing in waves, the best way to get packs during the first few weeks is through these Booster Blisters. Generally, there are better ways to pick up packs for a Pokemon TCG set, but since there are no booster boxes in Shrouded Fable, you have to work with what you have available. You’re getting three packs with this blister, so the odds aren’t great at opening something good, but there’s always the chance you crack a chase rare or fancy ex card.

Shrouded Fable might have a strange release schedule, but if you’re looking to open packs right away, then you can’t go wrong with the Kingambit Illustration Collection.While the other Special Illustrations are better deals, they won’t be releasing for several weeks, so you might miss your chance to play with cards at your next Pokemon Trading Card event.
Similar to the Special Illustration Collections coming later in September, the Kingambit Illustration Collection, just a little smaller. Easily the best way to open packs of Shrouded Fable, the Elite Trainer Box comes with nine packs to open, more than any other product releasing in the special set. That means that these Boxes are going to be going fast, so make sure you’re ready for their release on August 23.

The best way to open packs of Shrouded Fable is to pick up an Elite Trainer Box. You get nine packs of Shrouded Fable, giving you the best bang for your buck when it comes to packs. The Elite Trainer Box also gives you the most packs per product, making the best way to track down specific cards you’re looking for.
However, the Elite Trainer Box does not release until August 23, which is around three weeks after the release of the other Shrouded Fable products. This also puts you about a week or so before the release of the next Pokemon TCG set, Stellar Crown. While that doesn’t give you much time to recover between set releases, it does mean you’ll be opening a ton of packs right after another. If you’re okay with waiting a bit, you can get:

If you already picked up an Elite Trainer Box or don’t really have a use for all the extra accessories, the Shrouded Fable Booster Bundle is the best way to go. You get six packs of the special set, giving you a ton of ways to grab the latest ex and special illustration cards.

The biggest downside to this bundle is that you won’t be able to open any of your packs until September, more than a month after Shrouded Fable first starts to hit shelves.
Each bundle comes with six packs and nothing else. They’re straightforward and great for someone who just wants to open packs and not deal with the accessories.
