Frost Vortex Explained
Frost Vortex is a condition thatdeals damage and debuffs to enemies within an area.
When a weapon creates a Frost Vortex, enemies within a 4.5m radius will be trapped and will receive30 percent Psi Intensity status damage per second for up to four seconds.
A weapon can generateup to two Frost Vortex areasunless an additional one is granted by a piece of gear’s ability.
The type of damage dealt by the Frost Vortex isfrost. This cannot crit, nor can it hit any weakspots. It will also not decay with distance.
This build is great fordealing with multiple hordes of enemies, as the Frost Vortex can slow them down while simultaneously dealing damage.
A great Frost Vortex build will also allow you toquickly defeat bossesthanks to high damage output.

KV-SBR - Icy Rain

Blueprint can be found in a Mystical Crate in Rotten Saddle, southwest of Tall Grass Inn.

Melee Weapon
Can be obtained from Margerie located at the docks at the coordinates 7197, 140.
TheKAM - Abyss Glanceis the best choice of primary weapon when it comes to a Frost Vortex build. TheKV-SBR - Icy Rainis a good option if you don’t have enough Starchrom for the assault rifle yet.
For a secondary weapon, theDE.50 - Wildfirepistolis a good option. Using this weapon grants you a60 percent chance to trigger The Bull’s Eyeon a target, and there’s an 80 percent chance of spreading this to a second target.
If there are no enemies to spread The Bull’s Eye to within an area, your weapon’sdamage will increase by 25 percentfor ten seconds.
The Bull’s Eye is a condition that can be inflicted on hit targets, and they will suffer from vulnerability of anadditional eight percent for 12 seconds.
Marked enemies using this pistol will also takethree percent more damagewhen you target their weak spot for ten seconds. This condition stacksup to three times.
Best Frost Vortex Armor

Mask
The longer the duration of the Frost Vortex, the higher the Frost Vortex final damage. This increasesup to 60 percent.
Pants
Elemental damage increases by four percent for every ten percent weak spot hit rate of the previous magazine. Thisstacks up to 24 percentand lasts for ten seconds. Reloading will reset the calculation.
Shoes
Taking no damage within four seconds will grant a20 percent increase in melee, weapon, and status damage for 30 seconds. The effect resets when the duration ends.
