Every Specialty In Zenless Zone Zero, Explained
Much like Attributes, you can find atotal of five specialties in Zenless Zone Zero. At first glance, these specialties might seem like just a way to restrict W-Engines since you’ll only get the passive benefit from a W-Engine when its specialty matches with the character you put it on.
However, a character’s specialtyessentially dictates their gameplay during combat. Here’s what each specialty means in the game:
Attack
Crit Rate/DMG
This is the most basic specialty you can find, and as the name suggests, it involves characters whoexcel at dealing the most damage to the enemies in a given time.
These characters will be themain carries during combat, and you’lllikely need at least one of them in your teamunless you use a different play style.
Defense
DEF (unless the character scales on another stat)
While there might be a massive lack of Defense characters in the game, they’re still an essential component in the late game asthey’re the only sustaining specialty you’ll find.
These characters are great against enemy bosses sincethey can help you tank a ton of damage, though they’re rendered useless if you get better at dodging.
Support
Depends on each character
These characters excel at providing various buffs to their party,including PEN, Attribute DMG, or just DMG in general. They’re important to buff your main DPS' damage.
Anomaly
Anomaly Proficiency, Anomaly Mastery
This is arguably the most fun specialty in Zenless Zone Zero as it allowsyou to build the anomalieson an enemy much faster,which is shown with a circular progress barto the right of their HP bar.
When this bar fills up, the enemy gets a special effect based on the Anomaly you’ve applied. Moreover,applying multiple Anomalies in close succession can trigger Disorder, dealing even more damage.
Stun
Impact, Impact Percent
When you’re attacking an enemy, you’ll see a yellow bar below their HP fill up. This is known as the Daze bar, and the amount of Impact you havedirectly affects the amount of Dazeyou apply to the enemy.
When an enemy gets fully Dazed, they become vulnerable, taking more damage andallowing your characters to perform chain attacks.
If you don’t want to go for a regular team with one DPS, support, and sustainer each in Zenless Zone Zero, you cantry a team with multiple Anomaly units.
