Battling with other players has been a staple of thePokemonfranchise since Red and Blue were first released. But in order to keep competition from becoming stale,Pokemon Scarlet & Violetchanges the rules for online and in-person competitions on a regular basis. These restrictions are called Regulation Sets.

Regulation sets keep players on their toes, creating new strategies based on what Pokemon they and their opponents are allowed to use. It can be tricky to keep track of which Pokemon are available at any given time, unless you’ve got our Regulation Set H guide!
