Summary
Ubisoftis going all out on promotingStar Wars Outlaws, expecting “strong sales” in return. The company says it has justified the large marketing budget with it being “among the most awaited games” of 2024, clearly feeling confident about its success.
This comes directly from Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot. As reported byMP1st, Guillemot mentioned Star Wars Outlaws' marketing campaign in anearnings callwith investors, touching on the company’s expectations for itsStar Warstitle.

Ubisoft Is Going All In On Star Wars Outlaws' Marketing
“What we are factoring in is a strong launch for Star Wars Outlaws,” says Guillemot. “That’s the fact that it’s among the most awaited games of the industry this year and reflecting a really strong positive community sentiment, and also the fact that we are coming with the biggest marketing campaign ever so far for a Ubisoft game.”
That last point about this being Ubisoft’s “biggest marketing campaign ever” is an interesting one, but not too surprising when you think about it. Indeed, the game has been everywhere recently, getting shown off at a bunch of showcases, obviously including Ubisoft’s own event.

However, despite the inherent hype that comes with a game based on an IP as big as Star Wars, Ubisoft has hit some bumps along the way. Most recently, there was some backlash to a gameplay demo, with criticism directed particularly at the game’s visuals. This was also raised by investors, prompting Ubisoft toconfirm that it wouldn’t delay the gamein response to these reactions.
With not long to go until Star Wars Outlaws launches, we shouldn’t expect much change from what we’ve seen during gameplay demos so far. If Ubisoft sticks to its pledge of not delaying the game, then it will be with us on August 30, so just over a month away from now.
