Summary
Twitch can often bea pretty horrible and hostile place, but it can also be a platformthat brings communities togetherand does a lot of good in the world. You often have streamers that go out of their way toraise ridiculous amounts of money for charity, and popular Twitch streamer CDawgVA (real name Connor Colquhoun) is doing just that with his yearly charity auction for theImmune Deficiency Foundation.
CDawgVA’s charity auctions have been known to include fairly strange items for Twitch fans to bid on andthis year’s is no exception. A diamond Play Button from YouTuber and streamer JaidenAnimations is up for grabs this year, as is a “Challenge Coin” from PirateSoftware, an Elden Ring poster signed by director Hidetaka Miyazaki, and a hangout/gaming session with IronMouse and CDawgVA himself.

However, the last item being sold at this charity auction is raising a baffling amount of money, as just like IronMouse, popular streamer Pokimane isalso offering up her time to play games with the eventual winner. The bidding started off modestly, with a bid of $1.00 from someone called DKracer (you have to admire their optimism), but it wasn’t long before thousands of dollars started flowing.
Twitch Charity Auction Has Fans Spending Thousands To Play Games With Pokimane
Tens of thousands of dollars were then being bid, which then led to hundreds of thousands, before the bidding appears to have finally stopped at $500,000. With the auction still open, the exact winner is still up in the air, and it appears as though there’s a new bid of $500,000 every time you refresh the page.
Bidders include the likes of Adin Ross, several members of the Faze clan, and Morgp, though we’re not sure whether these are the actual personalities bidding or if they’re fans masquerading as them. There are also 20 separate bids from a guy called Mark Cuban, though something tells me the current Shark Tank member and minority owner of the Dallas Mavericks NBA team isn’t that desperate for a night of gaming with Pokimane.
CDawgVA himself has reacted to the wild amount of cash that someone is willing to spend on Pokimane, and is absolutely bewildered just like the rest of us. Bidding will end on July 19 and the winner of each item will be announced via a live stream by CDawgVA, so there’s every chance the bid could get even higher. I think we’ll struggle to find someone willing to lay down more than half a million dollars for a gaming session though.
