Summary
The ‘90s was filled withamazing TV shows. We would all gather around the TV with sugary cereal to watch our favorite cartoons or late-night sitcoms. Some of these shows were made into great video games, such as Rocket Power and Xena: Warrior Princess, but others were overlooked.
There are some fantastic ’90s TV shows that deserve the same treatment and would make a fabulous video game. Though their time has probably passed, it would be amazing if they somehow got their very own game. If you’re a gamer who has been craving some of the nostalgia from the 90s, you’re in the right place.

9Recess
Governing System
Recess is a comedy show that aired in 1997. The show followed a group of kids as they navigated school, friendships, and, most uniquely, forming their own society.
One way game developers could create a Recess game is by playing as one of the students and working to create their own society. Not only would it beeducational to teachthe player about different types of governing systems, but it would be super fun to play as your favorite recess characters.

8Daria
Relationship-Based Game
Daria is a wonderful show that centers around a cynical teenager who navigates family difficulties and high school life. She’s a loner who struggles to make friends, but eventually finds a best friend to navigate life with.
There was a video game for this show called Daria’s Inferno, but it tanked. It had the same characters but was a dream world as opposed to following the plot of the show. A better idea for a Daria game would be one that surrounds the social aspect of the game. You can gain or lose points with others based on your decisions and work to succeed at tests, lunch hours, gym, and more.

7Charmed
Witchy Business
Charmed follows three sisters who discover that they are witches and must fight the powers of evil within the world. The sisters learn their magic, navigate relationships, and band together against dark entities.
This game should have been created years ago. You could choose any of the sisters and learn their powers while fighting bad guys who try to destroy the world. You could even have a skill tree as you slowly become more powerful.

6Reading Rainbows
Book Travel
While Reading Rainbows did start in the 80s, the show ran through the 90s and into the early 2000s. Each episode of the show centers around a different children’s book.
This game would bea fantastic game for children. You could pick a different book within the game and navigate through it. For example, if you chose The Very Hungry Caterpillar, you would slowly move through the book, eating different foods and learning about how to become a butterfly.

5Angel
Detective Vampire
Angel is a spin-off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Angel works as a private detective and teams up with friends to fight evil and solve mysteries.
Considering Buffy had multiple video games, it’s surprising that Angel never got one. This game would follow Angel as a detective vampire, moving throughout town and using clues to uncover bad guys. It would include fighting skills and unlocking puzzles.

4The Secret World Of Alex Mack
Psychic Kid
The Secret World of Alex Mack is a Sci-Fi show from the early 90s. While walking home from school, Alex accidentally gets covered in a strange chemical. The chemical changes her and gives her the powers of telekinesis, electricity, and morphing.
The Alex Mack video game would follow Alex as she discovered her powers and developed her skills. The storyline would be Alex taking down the evil chemical plant while attempting to keep her identity a secret.

3The Nanny
Fashionista
The Nanny is a show about a woman who shows up at a rich man’s door to sell makeup but ends up becoming their nanny. In the end, she becomes a key member of the family, eventually marrying the father and becoming a stepmother.
The aspect of this show that would be fantastic for a video game is the fashion. Fran has an incredible sense of fashion, and it would be amazing to dress her. You could pick out clothes for her (and her family) for school, events, and more.

2West Wing
Political Game
West Wing is a political show that follows a fictional president. Throughout the run of the show, the president has to navigate the White House, his staff, and all the political problems that occur.
There aren’t a lot of games surrounding politics, but this could be a fascinating one. You could play as the president and run the country, seeing what happens when you make decisions, both good and bad. The game could also surround running for president, campaigning, and getting voters.

1PB&J Otter
Otter Kids
PB&J Otter is a kids' show that surrounds three adorable otters. They live on a houseboat in a fishing community with other animal families. There’s always a different adventure for them to take part in.
This game would be very similar to the Madeline video game series. You would follow the otters on different tasks such as coloring, exploring, and doing the infamous noodle dance.
