Despite the first case of an Ace Attorney game often being on the laidback side (comparatively, at least), the first case inAce Attorney Investigations 2: Prosector’s Gambitis far more complex than usual. Not only does this case have you dealing with more cross-examinations and investigations than the first game in the duology, but there’s Mind Chess to learn and contend with, also.
This case will truly put your logic to the test, and also your ability to deal with chess puns and analogies. It’ll take some effort, but with our help, you may solve this mystery, which involves an old friend, a new friend, and an old villain to boot.
Investigation: Gourd Lake - Lakeside Stage
While this case doesn’t begin with an official ‘investigation’ segment, you will have to begin with some sleuthing and information-gathering. Begin by heading over to the two bald man at the back of the stage as the game instructs you, and talk to them. You’ll then be prompted to make your firstLogic Combination:

With this, the investigation begins in earnest. Start by examining the following areas:

Mind Chess: Tabby Lloyd
In Mind Chess, you’ll have alimited amount of timeto make the correct dialogue options to extract information from your ‘opponent’ - in this case, it’s Tabby Lloyd.
Follow these options:
Upon completion of this section, you’ll be prompted to show where the shooter must have been - present theleft side of the park at the bottom of the screen. This will lead you into the second investigation of the case.
Examine the following areas:
During the ensuing cutscene, you’ll be prompted to find a contradiction with a photograph. Put thecrosshairs over the president’s foreheadandpresent theNewspaper Clippingas evidence of the contradiction. Once you have control of Edgeworth again, it’s time for anotherdeduction.

This will lead directly into a section where you must examine photographs more closely.
Now that you’re on the right-hand side of the spectator area, examine the following:

Following this, you’ll beexamining the raincoat more closely. Examine thebottom of the zipperto open it up, and then examine the revealedbloodstain. The following revelations will lead you to meet a new character and then straight into the first cross-examination of the game.

With that, you’ll watch a few scenes that lead into the next investigation.
After completing the examinations, speak with Tabby Lloyd and de Killer about everything. Then, you can start makingdeductions:

With these two deductions made, the case will move on to the next phase of challenges.
