Demon Slayeris a story of the never-ending fight of humans against the demons that has been going on for centuriesin one of the most visually appealing ways. Demon Slayers have constantly improved on their demon-killing prowess, by developing breathing styles to complement their fighting style, derived from Yoriichi’s sun breathing.
But demons have been doing the same, by exploiting Muzan’s blood to use a blood demon art that is able to do all kinds of attacks. Blood demon arts vary from demon to demon, and often times the stronger demons have the coolest and best blood demon arts, honed to kill in the most efficient way.
Threads That Are Sharper Than Blades And Can Cut Through Anything
Rui’s thread manipulation is a deadly ability that we get to see at the very start of the series.He can use his threads to create intricate webs that can trap his opponents, making them vulnerable to his attacks.
Additionally, Rui can control the threads and their sharpness, allowing him to pierce even the toughest defenses, including shattering Tanjiro’s sword. His ability to manipulate threads also allows him to be both offensive and defensive, as he desires during battle. As the first of the twelve Kizuki we encounter in the anime, his blood demon art is truly terrifying.
9Enmu – Dream Manipulation
Enmu Can Take Advantage Of You In Your Most Vulnerable State
Enmu is the strongest of the Lower Ranks of Muzan’s twelve Kizuki, and he has the potential to get even stronger. Enmu’s dream manipulation is a powerful and scary blood demon art, where he can induce sleep with just a touch or a look.
He can create dreams or nightmares that can incapacitate his victims both physically and mentally and are difficult to distinguish from reality. Enmu can use dreams to extract information from his victims, learning their secrets and weaknesses. He almost defeated Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu in the Mugen Train arc, and it was a huge challenge for them to overcome.
8Gyokko – Porcelain Vases
Teleportation Between Vases Is Stronger Than It Sounds
Gyokko’s porcelain vase blood demon art is a force to be reckoned with, especially considering he’s the Upper Rank five of Muzan’s elite. Gyokko can create a massive number of porcelain vases that he can teleport between instantly. This way, he always has a way to dodge, retreat, or sneakily attack anyone.
He is also one of Muzan’s favorite demons because his porcelain vases are a business he has crafted to fund Muzan’s research. Gyokko fought Muichiro, one of the strongest Hashira, and lost, but not before he put up a good fight.
7Gyutaro – Blood Manipulation
Poisonous Blood Slashes And Freedom To Shape It During Battle
Gyutaro was the hidden Upper Rank Six of the twelve Kizuki, who only revealed himself after Daki was beheaded by Tengen. His blood demon art is incredibly dangerous. By utilizing his own blood, he can create whirlwinds of slashes that are incredibly sharp and can destroy entire buildings.
It took the combined might of the Sound Hashira, Zenitsu, and Tanjiro going beyond their limits and Inosuke somehow coming back from certain death, to successfully defeat Gyutaro and Daki. With his poisonous sickles to accompany this blood demon art, Gyutarowas one of the toughest fights to date for the demon slayer corps, at least until the swordsmith village arc.
6Nezuko – Pyrokinesis
Can Damage Demons Exclusively
Nezuko is a unique demon, in that she doesn’t need to consume human flesh to sustain herself, and at the end of the swordsmith village arc, is shown to be immune to the sun as well.
Her blood demon art is also unique, able to exclusively damage demons and prevent them from healing, thanks to her sun-breathing heritage. With her flames, she can burn away demons and even Gyutaro’s poison, without damaging the person unless they’re a demon.She used this ability against Rui, to save Tanjiroand then on Tengen to save the Hashira from Gyutaro’s poison.
5Hantengu – Emotion Manifestation
Multiple Demons Packed Into One
Hantengu is one of the more terrifying Upper Rank demons and is almost as strong as Akaza in the demon hierarchy. Hantengu’s blood demon art allows him to split into multiple forms, each with its own unique blood demon art and each as strong as an Upper Rank.
He can also merge all together into Zohakuten, Hantengu’s ultimate form that has access to all the abilities of his other versions along with access to wooden dragons he can freely manipulate. Zohakuten almost defeated Mitsuri, and she would’ve most likely died had Tanjiro not beheaded Hantengu at the perfect time.
4Doma – Cryokinesis
Freeze Anything And Everything, Even The Air
To complement his ice-cold demeanor and psychopathic nature, Doma has the most fitting and one of the most dangerous blood demon arts of the Upper Ranks. His cryokinesis allows him to freeze anything he wants, including air, which can severely impair the demon slayer’s breathing techniques.
He is capable of creating ice clones of himself that are as strong as him and can use his blood demon art, to defeat multiple demon slayers at once. He is almost as strong as Kokushibo and was just barely defeated by him when Doma challenged him for the number one spot.
3Kokushibo – Crescent Moon Blades
A Breathing Style That Works Alongside A Blood Demon Art
Kokushibo was once a demon slayer who utilized the second-strongest breathing style, moon breathing. His moon breathing wasn’t as strong as his brother Yoriichi’s sun breathing, but he managed to almost reach that level by becoming a demon.
With his crescent moon blades blood demon art and his moon breathing style, Kokushibo is almost as strong as Muzan, the king of demons. Muzan considers him as almost an equal because of how strong he is, and has kept the number one spot of the twelve kizuki for centuries.
2Akaza – Destructive Death
Virtually No Drawbacks To Destructive Death With Its Predictive Abilities
Akaza is the Upper Moon Three of the twelve kizuki, and he is incredibly strong. He made his debut in the Mugen Train arcwhen he faced Rengoku, the Flame Hashira and just barely managed to defeat him.
His blood demon art complements his martial arts by giving him extrasensory abilities that help him detect an individual’s fighting spirit. He can also predict his opponent’s moves before they’ve done it. Even with his head cut off, Akaza survived in the infinity castle arc, speaking to just how powerful he is. Strength wise, he is still behind Doma and Kokushibo, but his blood demon art is something else.
1Muzan Kibitsuji – Biokinesis
The King Of Demons Is Also The King Of Blood Demon Arts
Muzan Kibitsuji is the king of demons and, as such, has the strongest blood demon artof any demon. Besides being immortal and having absolute dominion over other demons, he can manipulate his body to any shape.
Not just that, he can use his bones, organs, and blood to attack so fast, that it’s almost impossible to dodge. He can’t even be killed like a normal demon and has to be taken out by the sun because he has multiple brains and hearts that he can freely transport around his body.
