Ghost rare cards are some of the most eye-catching printings in theYu-Gi-Oh! TCG. While secret rare cards sparkle and ultimate rares have a nice texture to them, ghost rare cards make their card art misty white. Tilting the cards left and right reveals the card art, which almost has a three-dimensional depth to it.

So now the question is, which ghost rare cards are worth the most? Unlike other rarities, Ghost Rare is not a printing that happens often, and less than 60 cards get this special treatment. So here are the ten most valuable ghost rare cards in Yu-Gi-Oh!

10The Winged Dragon Of Ra $116.58

The Power Of The Gods

One of the mosticonic cards from the Yu-Gi-Oh! animeshow is the Winged Dragon of Ra. This is the ultimate Egyptian God card, and it has a ghost rare printing to make it even godlier.

It lets you pay 1000 Life Points to destroy one card. This is not a once-per-turn effect. If you would rather spend those points on one hit killing your opponent, you can use up all but 100 of your life points to raise this card’s attack power.

Shooting Star Dragon Yu-Gi-Oh! Ghost Rare Card Art.

9Shooting Star Dragon $128.56

Strike Multiple Times

Shooting Star Dragon is a difficultExtra Deck Monsterto bring out, requiring both a Stardust Dragon on the field and another Synchro Tuner Monster. At a minimum, it requires four Monsters to bring out, and if you do manage to pull it off, you might just be able to kill your opponent in one turn.

Shooting Star Dragon can attack multiple times per turn depending on how many Tuners you reveal using its effect. This card also looks fantastic with the ghost rare printing making it look even more like a misty white shooting star.

Dark Magician Girl Yu-Gi-Oh! Ghost Rare Card Art.

8Dark Magician Girl $144.68

An Iconic Female Yu-Gi-Oh! Monster

Standing next to the Dark Magician is the Dark Magician Girl. It is one of the most iconic cards added during the Battle City era of Yu-Gi-Oh! This card went on to get a nice following, spawning multiple figures and collectibles.

One collectible any fan should look out for is her ghost rare printing which was released in the Ghost From the Past: The 2nd Haunting set. She even has a nice little ability letting her get buffed by 300 attack for each Dark Magician or Magician of Black Chaos in the graveyard.

Rainbow Dragon Yu-Gi-Oh! Ghost Rare Card Art.

7Rainbow Dragon $176.82

Hard To Summon But A Great Look

The original Rainbow Dragon might have been power crept long ago, but the classic version still has a few printings worth quite a bit of money. While not as colorful as the original, the ghost rare version manages to pull off a unique look that just fits so well with the Monster.

You’ll need seven different Crystal Beasts in your grave or on your field to Special Summon Rainbow Dragon. While its base attack is 4000, you can send all face-up Crystal Beast Monsters to boost its attack by 1000 for each one sent.

Blue-Eyes White Dragon Ghost Rare Card.

6Blue-Eyes White Dragon $183.11

Kaiba’s Ultimate Monster

No card has as much love and care as the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and despite being a vanilla brick in your hand, you just love to see it staring back at you. Seeing as it is one of the oldest cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! it is only fitting that it looks good as a ghost rare.

Luckily, Blue-Eyes White Dragon does not have to stay in your binder all the time. The deck itself is still fun to play and with the archetype getting more love and support, it makes having a ghost rare printing a neat flex.

Black Winged Dragon Yu-Gi-Oh! Ghost Rare Card Art.

5Black-Winged Dragon $187.48

Spit Counters Everywhere

There was a time when Blackwings ruled the Yu-Gi-OH TCG. Black-Winged Dragon is a boss Monster for the archetype that isn’t as good but has a few uses. It can help prevent any burn damage your opponent may throw at you in exchange for powering down with its own Black Feather Counters.

Fortunately, you may send those Black Feather Counters back at your opponent to weaken one of their Monsters and deal burn damage. Furthermore, if you want to collect all the signer cards from the 5D’s anime, then this is a must-have for your Yu-Gi-Oh! binder.

Elemental Hero Chaos Neos Yu-Gi-Oh! Ghost Rare Card Art.

4Elemental Hero Chaos Neos $188.86

Are You Feeling Lucky?

Elemental Hero Chaos Neos may not be the most practical Monster to bring out, but seeing as the Ghost Rare version of the card is so valuable, you might want to flex it just for fun. This card relies entirely on luck.

If you do manage to Summon it, you’ll need to flip three coins to see what you can do. For three heads, you can destroy all your opponent’s Monsters. For two, your opponent’s face-up Monsters get their effects negated for a turn. If you only get one head, all your Monsters get sent back to your hand.

Black Rose Dragon Yu-Gi-Oh! Ghost Rare Card Art.

3Black Rose Dragon $237.27

Clear The Field For Plants

Black Rose Dragon has one killer effect that made it very useful during the 5D’s era. When you Summon it successfully, you’re able to wipe the board completely. While this might include your cards, it also hits your opponent’s Monsters and back row.

It’s a level seven generic Synchro Monster making it easy to slide into any deck that can get the right material on the board for its Summon. However, if you use Plant Monsters you also have the added ability of banishing one from your graveyard and turning one of your opponent’s Monsters into a defenseless target.

Stardust Dragon Yu-Gi-Oh! Ghost Rare Card Art.

2Stardust Dragon $304.01

Most Iconic Synchro Monster

One of the best cards of the 5D’s era is Stardust Dragon. Yusei’s ace Monster is one of the first iconic Synchro Monsters in the game and also had one of the more overpowered abilities for its time.

If any card on your side of the field would be destroyed by the card effect, Stardust Dragon can negate that effect and the card by tributing itself. However, it won’t stay gone for long and will be back on the field by the End Phase to protect your Monsters once more.

Dark Magician Yu-Gi-Oh! Ghost Rare Card Art.

1Dark Magician $421.23

Yugi’s Ultimate Ally

The Dark Magician isa classic Monster from the duel monsters eraof the game. Even though it has no abilities, the card art alone is enough to make any player feel nostalgic. In Ghosts of the Past, Dark Magician got a ghost rare printing perfect for collectors.

Like most ace cards used by the protagonists of the various animes, it has 2500 attack and 2000 defense points. Despite not doing much on its own, it is still possible to make a deck with modern Dark Magician support.
