Summary
Magic: The Gathering’sBloomburrow takes players to a whole new plane, one that shrinks down the scale that Magic has been working into the tiny. These animals and critters that inhabit the world have their own society and some mysterious force that turns humans (and presumably other species in Magic) into animals themselves.
Bloomburrow marks a shift in Magic’s approach to sets, one that is a welcome breath of fresh air in the otherwise cramped release schedule. If you’ve been cracking packs looking to open your latest favorite commander or piece of power, you’re going to want to know what value this set holds.

These prices all come from TCGplayer’s Market Value and are subject to change.
10Zoraline, Cosmos Caller
Borderless & Raised Foil - $51.55
The only Bat on this list, Zoraline, Cosmos Caller is a fantastic white and black legendary creature, both as the leader of a Bat-themed Commander deck and as a fairly strong creature to run in Standard or in the 99 of your deck.
The borderless and raised foil version of the card is illustrated by Taro Yamazaki and shows the interstellar Bat sleeping upside down from a tree during the day. It’s a unique take on Magic art that’s rarely shown. Most of the time artwork, particularly for legendary creatures, depicts them casting some spell or doing something cool, not taking a midday nap.

9Alania, Divergent Storm
Borderless & Raised Foil - $55.87
Otters are an adorable creature type that is getting plenty of support in Bloomburrow so it makes sense that the special borderless and raised foil version of the strongest Otter around is up there in price.
Alania is illustrated here by Issei Murakami and shows the Otter Wizard carding two different spells, one red and the other blue, reflecting their Izzet coloring. Alania lets you copy spells for the low cost of giving an opponent a free draw, which is nothing when you’re taking extra turns or doing something equally powerful.

8Mabel, Heir To Cragflame
Borderless & Raised Foil - $59.29
A natural leader among Mice, Mabel, Heir to Cragflame is a very strong Mice and equipment commander, since her two abilities interact with both. Mabel inspires the Mice around her, giving them +1/+1 as a passive bonus, while also creating the Cragflame, a legendary equipment token that gives a creature +1/+1, vigilance, trample, and haste.
This version of Mable is illustrated by Airi Yoshihisa, and they do a fantastic job at making Mabel look absolutely heroic with her huge, burning sword and leaf-shaped shield. These raised foil special variants also come with a fancy new border for the cards, helping them stand out even further from the regular versions of the card.

7Finneas, Ace Archer
Borderless & Raised Foil - $60.92
Archers are one of the more unique creature types in Magic, having seen straggling support every few sets, but now getting a fairly powerful addition to the lineup. While certainly a Rabbit-kindred card, there are still plenty of fun things to do with the card.
Finneas, Ace Archer gives each other creature you control that is either a Rabbit or a token, something that Rabbits are great at making in Bloomburrow, a +1/+1 counter whenever they attack. Once you hit a combined ten power from among all your creatures, you get to draw a card. This special borderless version is illustrated by O-G Osahune and shows off Finneas’ skill with a bow while they’re firing from the rooftop of a village.

6Vren, The Relentless
Borderless & Raised Foil - $72.69
An immensely versatile creature, Vren, the Relentless gets a fancy version as well, with a borderless and raised foil version with an illustration by MAMEZAWA. MAMEZAWA makes Vren look absolutely menacing here in his red armor and glowing ball of energy pulsating in his open hand.
As a card, Vren comes with a built-in Ward 2 to keep him safe, which is great since you know Vren will get targeted immediately. At the start of each end step, you get to make 1/1 Rat tokens that are effectively Relentless Rats equal to the number of creatures your opponents control that were exiled that turn.

5Camellia, The Seedmiser
Borderless & Raised Foil - $84.59
One of the fantastic new Squirrel card from Bloomburrow, Camellia, the Seedmiser brings you a brand Squirrel-kindred commander to go nuts over. Camella gives your other Squirrels menace, which is fitting since the little furry critters are just that for so many homes.
Anytime a Food you control is sacrificed, you get to make a 1/1 Squirrel creature token, making her a natural creature to helm a deck based around the creature type. Camilla is depicted here by M I N A T O, which shows the evil-looking Squirrel with a vile green magic at their fingertips.

4Baylen, The Haymaker
Borderless & Raised Foil - $102.25
Tokens play a huge role in Bloomburrow, so you might as well be playing a creature that’s going to make the most of them. Baylen, the Haymaker, with artwork done by Kemonomichi, lets you turn your tokens into pure value, and not just creature tokens, but your extra Treasure and Food tokens too.
Depending on how many tokens you tap, you get a different effect. Tapping two gives you a mana of any color. Tapping three lets you draw a card, while dedicating four tokens lets you put three +1/+1 counters on Baylen, while also giving them trample for the turn.

3Ral, Crackling Wit
Borderless & Raised Foil - $104.11
Planeswalkers are a rarity nowadays, and instead of getting their own unique planeswalker, Bloomburrow got the Otter-ized version of Ral Zarek. This card, illustrated by Atsushi Furusawa, has Otter Ral scampering across a rocky area with lighting arcing off his body.
As a four-mana planeswalker, Ral comes with a pretty strong passive, letting you add extra loyalty counters to him anytime you cast a noncreature spell. As if that isn’t enough, Ral, Cracking Wit protects himself by making Otters with prowess, has a fairly costly Brainstorm effect, and then a massively powerful emblem that gives all your instants and sorcery spells storm, which is huge for Magic.

2Gev, Scaled Scorch
Borderless & Raised Foil - $112.93
Lizards are making a comeback in Magic with the release of Bloomburrow, and Gev, Scaled Scorch is a great legendary creature to lead those reptiles. With a ward effect with a cost of two life, you may be sure your opponents will always be paying life, whether it be through combat or that ward effect.
Gev gives your other creatures a bonus +1/+1 counter for each opponent who lost life already when those other creatures come into play, while also pinging them for one damage anytime you cast a Lizard spell. The artwork by Taro Yamazaki is particularly cool, with Gev’s eyes and oddly happy mouth seemingly smiling in the midst of battle.

1Lumra, Bellow Of The Woods
Borderless & Raised Foil - $231.01
The only Calamity breaking through the animals of Bloomburrow, Lumra, Bellow of the Woods, featuring an illustration by Mitsuhiro Arita. This mono-green Bear grows with the more lands you play, while also accelerating you up in lands by returning yours from the graveyard to the battlefield when it comes into play.
The value of this card comes from the fact that this is Arita’s first time working on a Magic card, as he has been an artist for thePokemon TCGsince the game’s inception. He has been featured on more than 600 cards over the years, andeven did the artwork for the original Base Set Charizard, making him a legend in the trading card universe.
