ThePokemon TCGis home to dozens of unusual Pokemon with unique gimmicks and amazing qualities to enjoy. Fromvaluable full-art Trainer cardstomysterious Pokemon like Smeargleand the Unown, there are thousands of cards to collect in the Pokemon TCG.
The Unown make up every letter of the alphabet, including two additional inclusions for an exclamation mark and a question mark. While every Unown shares the same set of stats, their visual appearances mimic their corresponding letters, making for a fun 28-Pokemon scavenger hunt to collect the most valuable Unown cards.

The cards are ordered according to theirTCGplayermarket price, which is subject to change. For vintage cards, the first edition version price is listed, not the unlimited price.
9Unown H – Neo Destiny (Rare) – $18.07
Hard To Break Into The Top
Unown are mysteriousPokemon that have remained in our hearts and mindssince their introduction in Johto so many years ago.
This Unown H from Neo Destiny distinguishes itself from a crowd of Unown of varying shapes and sizes as the sole non-holo Rare.

This card remains very steady around the $18 plateau, though it briefly soared toward $20, but hasn’t been able to break through that ceiling. As these cards become more scarce over time (and accounting for inflation), this card will likely rise into the $20s eventually, but there’s no guarantee when that day may come.
8Unown V – Silver Tempest (Alternate Full Art) – $18.58
Varied Letters For Everyone
The Unown V from Silver Tempest is the perfect choice for this card, as there’s no other Unown that would fit so perfectly as a V Pokemon in the TCG. This card is amongthe most valuable in Silver Tempest, so it’s not limited in its appeal, especially consideringseveral other Unown letters make background appearances behind V.
Given the inclusion of so many Unown in one art, it’s somewhat surprising that this card doesn’t rank higher among the most expensive Unown cards, but that may change with time. Every other Unown on this list is a vintage card, and first edition (where applicable) in most cases, so this Silver Tempest full-art is in good company.

7Unown B – Unseen Forces (Holo Rare) – $19.84
Beating Out The Alphabet Competition
Unown B makes a break for the $20 mark, as several Unown cards all race toward the milestone. Unfortunately, it falls agonizingly short, though thisbrilliant artwork is one of the most strikingamong the best Unown cards.
It’s no surprise to see this card from Unseen Forces feature among the most valuable Unown cards, given Unseen Forces' standing asone of the most expensive EX-era booster boxes. While you may resonate with other letters more on a personal level, there’s no denying this artwork is one of the brightest among its vintage peers.

6Unown Y – Unseen Forces (Holo Rare) – $19.90
Yielding Unexpected Value
Unown Y squeaks by its fellow Unown from Unseen Forces, yet still can’t reach the fabled $20 mark that has eluded the most valuable Unown cards thus far. This card boasts a brighter right half where the Unown Y sits, juxtaposed by adarker left side, reflecting the mysterious aura of the Unown.
While it can’t claim to be the first Unown thus far to eclipse $20, this Unown has experienced a meteoric rise, jumping fromprevious highs around $8, more than doubling. There’s more potential being tapped into than you might expect for this unusual Pokemon.

5Unown K – Unseen Forces (Holo Rare) – $21.68
Known For Surprises
Unown K keeps the Unseen Forces train rolling,as this is the second Unown boasting a bright set of sparkles, though this version’s background boasts an incredible rainbow of color bursts that stand out.
Unown K stands out as one of the most versatile letters to collect, given its usage as a casual response and its prominence as a popular first initial.

Unown K sits squarely in the middle of the road as far as its recent pricing, as this card has shown potential to approach $25, but hasn’t quite gotten over the hump yet. Nevertheless, it still sits comfortably above the letters below it with a significant cushion keeping it ahead of the pack.
4Unown ? – Unseen Forces (Holo Rare) – $24.99
What’s The Ceiling For Unown?
The first non-letter Unown finally appears, as the question mark slots in asone of the most expensive Unown in Unseen Forces and the Pokemon TCGin general.
This unique artwork features two Unown staring back at each other, as we see the back of the one on the left close in the foreground.

The darker artwork is difficult to appreciate unless you see the card in person, but the unimpressed, half-closed eye on this Unown gives it a humorously annoyed appearance. Unseen Forces continues to monopolize the best Unown cards.
3Unown ! – Unseen Forces (Holo Rare) – $29.56
A Welcome Surprise
There’s no better way to follow up the question mark than with its fellow symbol Unown, the exclamation point. This Unown also features a disappointingly darker artwork, but isn’t as funny as the prior iteration, even though this card holds the edge in value.
Unlike some of the other Unown cards on this list, the Unown “!” has experienced a massive dropoff in value, as it once eclipsed the $50 mark, and now barely holds onto a sub-$30 value. Despite a disappointing fall from grace, this is the first Unown card that has demonstrated itsincredibly high potential.

2Unown A – Unseen Forces (Holo Rare) – $30.95
Are You Seeing Double?
Unown A finally makes its appearance, as the first letter of the alphabet was bound to pop up sooner or later, considering the variety of other Unown from Unseen Forces. This Unown A has a completely different trajectory than the exclamation point, asthis card continues to climb from its starting point of around $20.
Unfortunately for this Unown A, it isn’t the only version of itself that exists, and it’s time for Unseen Forces to finally make room for another set’s best Unown card to claim the spotlight.

1Unown A – Neo Discovery (Holo Rare) – $42.33
A Double Up After All
Although it doesn’t make the list ofthe most valuable cards in Neo Discovery, this version of Unown A claims the crown asthe most expensive Unown card in the Pokemon TCG.This card breaks the $40 barrier with a darker art than its twin from Unseen Forces.
This Unown A breaks the stranglehold that Unseen Forces has on the Unown market, as the prior six entries all featured from the vintage set.
This card has seen some positive momentum, as it continues to increase from the $37 mark it once sat at, now marking its territory asthe only Unown card in the $40 range.
