The Black & White era of thePokemon TCGwas a time that featured an incredible collection ofvaluable full-art Trainer cardsand legendary dragons alike. While Reshiram and Zekrom feature heavily among the best chase cards inthe most expensive Black & White era sets, Kyurem also boasts a beautiful collection of valuable cards.

The best Kyurem cards feature this unique Dragon-type legendary Pokemon in all of its forms, switching from black to white, to its normal Ice-type version. Promo cards often feature among the most valuable Kyurem cards, taking home three of the eight entries.

8Black Kyurem: Black & White (Promo) – $11.75

Back To Black

This Black Kyurem promo is a powerhouse of a card, portraying this legendary Dragon-type in the middle of a fiery attack, leaving flames in its wake.

The Black & White era features an incredible collection of breathtaking art, like this one. While they aren’t the most valuable cards in the Pokemon TCG, some ofthe best Kyurem cards offer incredible designs that pop.

The White Kyurem GX from the Pokemon TCG.

This promo won’t get much attention in imperfect condition, as copies below near-mint (NM) sell for as little as a few dollars, butNM copies will range between $11 and $15.There’s room to grow for this promo, especially with age.

7White Kyurem: Black & White (Promo) – $12.33

From Black To White

Despite boasting a smaller (and arguably less notable) artwork, the White Kyurem promo from the Black & White era surpasses its twin by the smallest margin on this list. The most expensive Kyurem cards feature some ofthe best artwork you’ll find on any Pokemon card, and even this small space packs plenty of detail.

Overall, less-than-perfect copies of this card are also exceptionally cheap, but you won’t find many cheap NM copies around, asthe sole sale at $12.31 sets the market price until another copy sells.

6White Kyurem GX: Dragon Majesty (Secret Rare) – $18.61

A Surprisingly Good Rainbow Rare

The White Kyurem GX offers the perfect canvas for a Rainbow Secret Rare overhaul, as this trademark ofthe best Sun & Moon era setsworks well with this transforming Dragon-type. Unfortunately, like many of the Rainbow Secret Rares, this card is enduring a bit of a slump.

After capping out at $22, this White Kyurem’s value withered away, falling into the $18 range. While it’s far from a catastrophic collapse, losing almost 20 percent of its value is still a significant drop, though there’s still plenty of time for things to shift.

5White Kyurem: XY Promo (Staff Pre-release) – $35.80

An XY Exclusive

The White Kyurem Fates Collide promo was used to promote the set’s release, and theStaff version featured a designated stamp on the bottom left portion of the card art, directly opposite the “Fates Collide” stamp.

Regular versions of this card, like the art pictured, sell for very little, but the Staff version’s scarcity and exclusivity make it a coveted curiosity of the era.

The Kyurem from Dragon Vault in the Pokemon TCG.

Despite some significant slopes on its price chart, this card is rare enough that it maintains a relatively steady demand, frequently trading within the $35 range. Given its low population, this card will likely increase in value over time as copies become more difficult to find.

4Kyurem EX: Next Destinies (Full Art) – $51.28

A Ferocious, Vibrant Full Art

Kyurem EX raises the stakes with an incredible full art unlike any we’ve seen thus far. The up-close view of this powerful legendary in its base form captures an array of gorgeous details from the crown of its head to the tip of its tail, asthis card makes use of every inch of space.

Luckily, this card isn’t as difficult to acquire in good condition as some of the other best Kyurem cards, and you can pick up an NM copy for as little as $40, though sales do also go as high as $60, depending on timing.

3Kyurem: Dragon Vault (Holo Rare) – $58.80

Soaring In An Icy Scene

This Kyurem features the most distinct artwork from its peers, as the simple but serene background offers a rare juxtaposition between this intimidating Dragon and the calm, swirling colors behind it.

However, when it comes to this card’s value, things start to get a bit more complex, as conditions will open up a wide range of possible prices you may pay. Moderately played (MP) copies can cost as little as $19 or $20, while NM copies soar well above $50, depending on timing.

2White Kyurem EX: Boundaries Crossed (Full Art) – $128.99

Looking Up At Its Twin

This Kyurem EX boasts one of the fiercest, most detailed artworks in the entire Black & White era, easily earning its spot among the best Kyurem cards ever. Even if you prefer Black Kyurem, it’s impossible to ignore how vibrant and eye-catching this artwork is, asthe red and orange flames popon the Pokemon’s white body.

While it doesn’t soar to the heights of Dragons like Rayquaza that feature heavily amongthe best EX-era sets, White Kyurem’s artwork makes a serious case for being counted among the best.

With only a few sales of cards in near-mint condition, this White Kyurem continues to increase in value, soaring up $30 from $98 to $128 in about a year. The future looks bright, as this beautiful Kyurem card begins to get the recognition is deserves.

1Black Kyurem EX: Boundaries Crossed (Full Art) – $131.28

The Other Side Of The Coin

The twin to the White Kyurem, the Black Kyurem EX, beats out its other fusion form by a very small margin. While it claims the crown, for now, this epic battle is so close that it’s hardly a decisive victory, but it’s a victory nonetheless.

While Kyurem doesn’t quite reach the heights ofthe most valuable Dragonite cards, it puts up a respectable showing considering the late start it had, not to mention its introduction during a low period in the Pokemon TCG’s history.

Near-mint copies are exceedingly difficult to find given the age of the cards and the somewhat suspect print quality that plagues cards from this era. Expect to shell out about$130 or more for a clean copy, especially as they become more difficult to find
