Some of the most recognizable cards in thePokemon TCGare vintage versions of iconic Pokemon like Lugia, Umbreon, and more. The incredible collection of Pokemon in Aquapolis features some of the GOATs in the TCG space, and their artwork inspired future generations, including some ofthe best sets from the EX-era.
Asone of the most valuable sets to ever grace the Pokemon TCG, Aquapolis' reputation is almost as impressive as the list of incredible chase cards you’ll find in this set. These rare cards are difficult to find, especially in good condition, and their high prices reflect their popularity and rarity.

Cards are valued according to theirTCGPlayerMarket Price, which is what you mightpay for a near-mintcopy of the cards below.
Given their age and rarity, sale prices are vastly different depending on condition,so this is just a rough idea of the card’s value.

10Entei (Holo Rare) – $137.86
A Fiery Start
Some of the most valuable Entei cards feature fabulous artwork, but few can reach the heights that the Aquapolis Holo Rare does.
Entei enters the fold with an extremely valuable card, kicking things off at over $130 with massive increases still to come.

However, despite the high price tag, this card is fairly affordable for those who don’t mind what the condition is like. Damaged copies can be bought for as little as $25, though the price shoots into the triple digits once you start looking at lightly played (LP) or better.
9Suicune (Holo Rare) – $155.06
Another Majestic Legendary
Suicune slips ahead of its fellow Johto legendary Pokemon by a solid chunk, separating itself as the clear favorite.
Entei, Raikou, and Suicune frequently swap positions for who is the most valuable in a given set. While it largely depends on the artwork, Suicune and Entei have some heated battles for supremacy.

This Suicune maintains a high value, from LP to near-mint, with the potential to soar into the$200 range with a clean copy. While its market price might be deceptively low due to a variety of sales, this card carries incredible value in all conditions.
8Tyranitar (Holo Rare) – $239.83
Losing Ground
Tyranitar takes over from the two Johto legendaries, as this pseudo-legendary Pokemon puts itself in the conversation as one of the best cards from Aquapolis. Tyranitar’s incredibly detailed depiction and gorgeous starry night in the background give this card a breathtaking quality.
However, even at almost $250, you may not be able to find a Tyranitar in near-mint condition to buy, as most of the sales are in LP or worse condition.

Many vintage Pokemon cards in excellent condition aregraded, especially popular cards, thus making it difficult to find certain raw cards in vintage sets like Aquapolis in good condition.
7Arcanine (Holo Rare) – $239.99
Arcanine jumps ahead of Tyranitar by the slimmest of margins, though the distinction is deserved sinceArcanine boasts a recent sale at its market price, whereas Tyranitar’s price wasn’t supported by one.
This striking Arcanine artwork perfectly encapsulates the strength of this fast Fire-type Pokemon, putting it in the spotlight with a bright background and beautiful holo blotch patterns to collect.

6Houndoom (Holo Rare) – $248.77
Climbing Up The Charts
Houndoom holds its ground among some of the best Kanto and Johto Pokemonin Aquapolis, pushing the boundaries of the $250 plateau where it currently resides.
Houndoom might have even higher potential as some of its LP sales hover around the $248 mark, giving this card incredible potential to be worth way more in near-mint condition. The problem is finding a card like that, particularly a raw card, as this fantastic Holo Rare often has a scratched surface.

5Kingdra (Secret Rare) – $271.90
A Rare Kingdra Appearance
Much like Houndoom, Kingdra commands incredible value, even when it’s not in perfect condition, as you could pay close to$250 for this card, even in LP condition.
Kingdra doesn’t boast as many fantastic artworks as other popular Pokemon, but when it does get some love, it usually commands a high value.

Kingdra is another card that will be difficult to find in near-mint condition, even if you’re okay paying the market price, as there are few recent sales through TCGPlayer to point to. You may have better luck finding one at a card show or another platform.
4Espeon (Holo Rare) – $375.00
Another Eeveelution Revolution
Espeon jumps into the top five most expensive cards in Aquapolis with a gorgeous, vibrant background to complement its perfectly pink color palette. In addition to its striking appearance, this Espeon is one ofthe most valuable Eeveelution cards around, and one you won’t want to miss if you collect Espeon.
It exceeds Kingdra’s value by over $100, though that should come as no surprise considering the vastly different popularity tiers each Pokemon sits in. Just as Kingdra struggles to compete against Espeon, so too does this Psychic-type struggle to match strides with arguably the most expensive Eeveelution in the Pokemon TCG.

3Umbreon (Holo Rare) – $399.80
Shining Through The Night
Whether it’s claiming the crown asthe most valuable card in Evolving Skiesor staking its claim on othertop-tier vintage sets like Neo Discovery, Umbreon makes a splash across generations in the Pokemon TCG.
Even the most heavily played (HP) copies of this card sell for about $170, cementing this Umbreon as one of the most solidly valued cards in the set, regardless of condition.

Umbreon glances into the night sky with this fantastic artwork worth every dollar, though you won’t find many copies for sale that haven’t been graded, given the potential value this card could command in pristine condition.
2Nidoking (Secret Rare) – $549.95
A King With No Kingdom
Umbreon doesn’t usually have to settle for third place, but the fantastic Crystal Nidoking pushes one of the most highly collected Pokemon to the side.
The best cards in Aquapolis feature so many strong contenders for the top spot, that not even Eeveelution status and great artwork are enough to claim the highest valuation.
Despite this card’s immense popularity and corresponding value, it falls short of the crown of the most valuable card in Aquapolis and also settles for the second-best Crystal Pokemon.
1Lugia (Secret Rare) – $2,398.95
A Crystal Crown
The Crystal Lugia is one of the most valuable Lugia cards of all time, competing withthe Lugia from Neo Genesisas two of the all-time greats. You won’t find many of these in perfect condition, but if you do, expect to pay well over $2,000 for them, as this card has many factors at play that contribute to its sky-high value.
The combination of a highly-collected Pokemon, fantastic artwork (featuring swirl possibilities), high rarity, and a low population of highly-graded copies makes thisLugia the most expensive card in Aquapolis.
