Summary
TheGodzillafranchise has introduced legendary monsters, alien invaders, and humans capable of controlling their own giants. Godzilla has certainly had his hands full fighting off every threat that hits Japan. The villains in Godzilla films are usually other giant monsters that get into Godzilla’s territory. You can’t blame an animal for being an animal.
However, some Godzilla villains have more complex motivations that drive them to commit heinous acts. Meanwhile, others are jerks for the fun of it. So which ones have the most dastardly plans? These are the most evil villains in Godzilla.

10Gabara
Just A Jerk
Gabara might not be the most evil monster, but he’s an absolute menace. Residing on Monster Island, Gabara spends most of his days bullying Minilla for fun, with no other motivation other than to make Minilla’s life harder.
While the stakes aren’t as high as in other films, Gabara is the only monster petty enough to commit the equivalent of stealing candy from a baby. This conscious decision makes him evil on a schoolyard scale, even if his actions would not cause any worldwide disaster.

9The Xiliens
They Destroyed Human Civilization
The Xiliens are a race of aliens featured in Godzilla: Final Wars. While initially arriving under the guise of peace, they are soon exposed as secretly replacing Earth’s leaders. After an insurrection occurs between the ranks, a Xilien known as X unleashes a more violent form of invasion on the Earth.
The Xiliens release a hoard of mind-controlled monsters on the planet, which results in most of the cities on the planet being destroyed. The Xiliens are by far one of the most destructive villains in the entire Godzilla franchise, having succeeded in their goals before their defeat.

8Alan Jonah
Working In The Shadows
Alan Jonah is the overarching villain of the Monsterverse. He first appears in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, guiding Dr. Russel through a plan to wipe out most of humanity but allow the planet to rebuild itself.
His distaste for the human race stems from the death of his daughter, as revealed in the novels. After King Ghidora is defeated, Jonah recovers one of the severed heads. He then sells the head, which eventually becomes the basis for Mechagodzilla’s construction in Godzilla Vs Kong.

7King Ghidora
Can Dominate The Planet
King Ghidora has played many roles across the entire Godzilla franchise. At times, he is an alien invader under the control of an even mightier race of beings. Other times, he is shown to be a legendary deity who protects Japan.
The Monsterverse’s rendition of King Ghidora has made himmore powerful than ever beforeand twice as evil. With the ability to assume control of all Titans and even fight its own weaker heads, Ghidora will do anything to be the top Monster. Even when reborn as Mechagodzilla, his first goal is to eliminate Kong and Godzilla.

6The Futurians
Suspicious Time Travelers
Some Godzilla films also introduce human villains with more direct goals. In the Heisei film Godzilla Vs King Ghidora, time travelers arrive in Japan claiming to be able to get rid of Godzilla. They do so by going back in time and moving the Godzillasaurus from Lagos Island before it gets hit by a nuclear bomb.
In reality, the Futurians switched out the would-be Godzilla with futuristic pets known as the Dorats. The Dorats are then mutated into King Ghidora, who is under their complete control. Their secret mission is then revealed to be stopping Japan from achieving a prosperous future.

5Space Godzilla
Kidnapped Godzilla’s Son
Space Godzilla was created through Godzilla cells that made it into space. Eventually turning into a more sinister and crystallized version of the monster, Space Godzilla returns to Earth with a vengeance. He immediately attacks Godzilla’s Son and traps him in a crystal prison.
After doing so, Space Godzilla would attack Japan and make a new home for himself surrounded by crystals. Space Godzilla has no other motivation other than to destroy the planet and the original Godzilla. In games, Space Godzilla is even seen getting in the way of other villains.

4Battra
Mothra’s Evil Twin
Battra is a villain who appeared in the Heisei era and is one of the few villains who reformed themselves.Having only one appearance in films, Battra represented a darker version of Mothra’s virtues. When an ancient civilization created a weather machine that threw off the balance of nature, Battra was created to protect the Earth.
Unfortunately, Battra had his own ideas of what protecting the Earth meant and began to destroy all of humanity in the process. This misguided sense of justice would eventually be put to a stop when Mothra confronted the giant moth and defeated him.

3Godzilla
Most Destructive Being
Godzilla may be shown to be an ally of humanity in some films. However,he is also shown to be an enemymultiple times across the series. Sometimes, Godzilla is destructive in the way a wild animal would be.
Other times, he does so out of sheer malice, such as in Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidora’s All Out Attack, in which Godzilla becomes possessed by vengeful spirits hellbent on destroying Japan for its past crimes. Friend or foe, Godzilla will always leave behind a trail of destruction.

2Humanity
Unintentional Evil
Time and time again, humanity, in general, has been the culprit behind many of the monsters that attack in the Godzilla franchise. An evil scientist creates a mind-control device that causes the aquatic Titanosaurus to attack. Meanwhile, humans pollute the Earth, resulting in the Smog Monster, Hedora, emerging.
It seems in almost every Godzilla movie, humanity plays a part in unleashing the monsters. This is usually due to carelessness or simply a desire to hold dominance over nature. Could humans be the real monsters all along?

1Skar King
Dominates The Apes
Skar King is one of the most evil villains to be introduced to the Godzilla franchise. Unlike other monsters that destroy due to their nature or from being under the control of other entities, Scar King’s motivations are all calculated with the intention of being ruthless.
Skar King thrives on dominating the giant ape race in the hollow Earth. Aside from the subjugation of his own kind, he also keeps Shimo in chains, whom he uses as a weapon to fight Kong. His conscious decision to kill his own kind for fun and fathering many children makes him the most evil monster in Godzilla.
