Summary

As with all live-service titles,The First Descendantlaunched with what players consider some major features missing. One of the most oft-complained about absences was the lack of hard mode matchmaking for the title’s endgame missions.

Thankfully, developers Nexon are fully aware of the community’s cries, as it’s confirmed that the feature will be coming “soon”.

While further details of the latest hotfix have yet to be shared, Nexon is well aware of issues that persist within the game. Arunning logis being kept on The First Decendant’s official Twitter page, and it’s likely these are the key issues the developers will be tackling first.

Music To The Community’s Ears

Since its launch, players have been crying out for public matchmaking when they reach the title’s endgame. With the content being significantly more difficult, players are currently required to either tackle things alone or with a pre-constructed party of allies. This is something we at TheGamercalled “awful,“a sentiment echoed around the world of Ingris.

Impassioned threads have popped up on Reddit following the game’s release, with players reluctant to “rely on external tools” to find a team. The decision to exclude hard mode matchmaking has been described as “baffling”, with one player sharing that it “killed the game” for them, and another adding that they’ll be “taking a leave of absence” until the feature arrives.

However, this latest news has been music to the ears of the hundreds of thousands of daily players. Much of the praise and excitement was directed towards the Korean developers. “This doesn’t look like an average Nexon game,” one player said, with another replying “Oh s**t, they’re actually listening and fast.”

An air of cynicism still persists, though. Aggressive microtransactions have littered the game, and this latest update has players begging for Nexon not to be so greedy that it “ruins the game.” According to one Reddit user, “Their track record says they will,” but “blue moons come by every now and then.”
