Summary
Between The Bear, The Acolyte, and The House of the Dragon, the last two months have been big for blockbuster TV shows. Season four ofThe Boyshas been tucked in there too, or at least it was until its final last week. No spoilers here if you’re not all caught up on the show, although if you’re a long way off being caught up you might wonder who the heck two of the show’s three newFunko Popsare supposed to be.
The Seven welcomed two new members in season four - Sister Sage and Firecracker - and now the two, very different Compound V-powered heroes have their own Funko Pops. A first look at the figures alongside a new Frecnhie Pop was shared by Funko Pop News and all three should be available to buy this week. New Funko Pops tend to go on sale on Wednesdays, so there’s a chance the Amazon links for the trio will have gone live by the time you read this.
Firecracker’s Pop will be instantly recognizable to anyone who has watched season four as it’s the same supersuit she wears for the entirety of season four. Although Sage’s figure also has the smartest person on Earth in the costume she wears when working with The Seven, it wasn’t featured as frequently as Firecracker’s attire. Sage initially refused to buy into Vought’s schtick but eventually caved and worked alongside Homelander, helping him outsmart his rivals at every turn.
Finally Some Good News For Frenchie
Even though he has been a core character since the very beginning, this is the first time Frenchie has been turned into a Funko Pop. Based on his look from season four, it’s about time Frenchie got his own figure. Again, no significant spoilers for season four here, but Frenchie has really been put through the wringer. He’s the final piece of the puzzle for anyone trying to collect Funko Pops of all The Boys as Butcher, Hughie, MM, Starlight, and Kimiko all have figures already.
Even though there’s been a lot of great TV already this summer, The Boys and House of the Dragon have far and away been my favorite shows for the past six weeks. Lucky for me, they’re also the two shows to get their own brand new Funko Pops during their latest season. House of the Dragon beat The Boys to the punchby adding Alicent, Criston Cole, and Daemon figures to its rangealongside a Deluxe Rhaenys figure that has the Targaryen riding her dragon, Meleys.
