Summary
Wardens inConcordare some of the strongest characters around. They have a high damage potential per shot, with all of their weapons extremely heavy-hitting. Their primary function is to close off sightlines to the enemy team, and each Warden does that in a different way.
No Warden is useless, and every Warden is hovering in the top half of every character in the game, in terms of potential. They are characters that have very high skill ceilings, but they’ve also got very low skill floors, too. Missing a shot with a Warden is very punishing; in general, they don’t have very high rates of fire on their weapons.
3Vale
Vale is the lowest-ranked Warden, but thatdoes not mean she’s useless, or even sub-par; Vale can be a very valuable member of the winning team and be a big reason as to why they’re doing so well. But, she can be difficult to use to her full potential, and if she isn’t getting any support from teammates, she can have a really difficult time accomplishing anything.
Vale’s primary weapon is her Monarch “Long 52” Sniper Rifle. This is a bolt-action sniper rifle, so you need to be very precise with your shots, because the enemy is likely going to have the chance to get to cover before you’re able to fire your follow-up. This weapon is going to take a few body shots for a kill on most characters, the exception being the lower-health Haunts. A headshot will do a bit more damage but still isn’t going to one-shot many of the characters in the game.
Vale also has a secondary weapon, her Monarch Sidearm. This is definitely a lower-powered weapon, but on a low-health enemy or with teammate support, it can get the job done.
Vale can bionically leap into the air, allowing her to gain a temporary vertical advantage over her enemies or reach some kind of more permanent high ground. For agile snipers confident in their shot, this is a great way to take an enemy down without exposing yourself to too much gunfire.
Vale also comes equipped with Trip Mines that explode when enemies set them off. These are extremely visible and aren’t going to surprise most people, but if tossed in an area where the enemy is fighting, they may overlook it. When covering a flank, at the very least, you’ll hear the enemy destroy the Trip Mine and have some warning they’re coming.
Vale either needs teammate support near her to ensure she isn’t a primary target or to find a good vantage point where she can see the main fight but isn’t in the thick of it. In the right situation Vale is going to put out a very high amount of damage and cause serious problems for the other team. In the wrong situation, she’s going to lose a lot of engagements.
2Haymar
Haymar has some of the more unique movement options in the game, and that movement option helps accentuate what is a very unique weapon, as well. She can put out very high damage and can hold her own in a 1v1 easier than Vale, but it is just as punishing to miss a shot with.
Haymar’s weapon is her Flameshot Bow, a crossbow that deals a large amount of damage, including splash damage, ensuring you don’t have to hit your target dead-on. It has to reload after every shot, and it isn’t a particularly quick reload, so making use of her movement to keep yourself a difficult target to hit is going to be important for staying alive.
Haymar’s II Variant has increased reload speed on her weapon and is a great option for anybody who finds the reload speed to be holding them back too much.
Haymar’s Blinding Flash is a great way to get that reload off without too much bother. This ability tosses a projectile that blinds enemies, and that blinding effect lasts for a couple of seconds. It’s a great way to gain entry into a room, get a reload off, or otherwise ensure your enemy is having a bad time.
Haymar’s Wall Of Fire is a fantastic ability, dealing heavy damage to those hit by it and limiting enemy movement in an area for a short time. When this ability lands, it creates a wall of fire on the ground. It’s a perfect way to deal with Emari when she’s using her shield.
Haymar is a high-potential character, best used when she’s not the center of attention, and especially effective against groups of enemies. All of her abilities and weapons are capable of affecting more than one enemy at the same time, making her great at dealing with an assault right from the get-go when defending and spearheading an attack.
1Lennox
Lennox is one of the best Freelancers in the game with an incredibly high damage potential but also a ton of versatility. He’s not nearly as punishing to miss a shot with as Haymar or Vale but is still capable of dealing very good damage. He’sa great option for beginners, but he is also going to be a regular among the most competitive players in the game.
Lennox has two weapons, and both of them have a very good use case. His first weapon is his HL-4 “Bell Ringer” Heavy Handgun. This is a slower-firing handgun that deals considerable damage, particularly on a headshot. Accurate players are going to have a great time with this weapon, and it’s one of the most difficult weapons to fight against in a 1v1.
Lennox’s other weapon is his Chesterly Model 3 Revolver. He fan-fires this, allowing for a quicker rate of fire than the Bell Ringer at the cost of some damage. With a Bazz or IT-Z in your face, this weapon is less punishing on a miss while they’re dancing around, dodging your shots.
Lennox’s Gunslinger passive ability makes it much more beneficial to swap to his other pistol and continue firing rather than spending time reloading.
Lennox has an Exploding Knife ability, giving him a good damage option at range while he reloads. This isn’t going to one-shot anybody, but it does do a hefty amount of damage and is a great opener or a great finisher.
One ability that really makes Lennox stand apart from other characters in the game is his Claxton Healing, allowing him to fully recover his health slowly over the course of quite a few seconds. This healing can get interrupted by damage, but if not, he’ll recover to full from whatever he was at. Most characters need to seek out a healing spot on the map, and the fact that Lennox can do this anywhere is a massive boon.
Lennox is an incredible Warden, and an incredible Freelancer. His weapons are versatile and high-powered, which is not a combo usually seen in Concord. His abilities afford him options, particularly when it comes to staying in the fight as opposed to retreating to find some health.
