Whenever you get a new character inHonkai: Star Rail, there are quite a few steps involved before you can actually use them in battle, especially if you’re in the endgame. These steps involve upgrading the character, finding good builds on them, and finally placing them alongside some synergistic teammates.
Jade is a five-star Erudition character having Quantum as a combat type, and she relies on the follow-up attacks as her main damage source. While these attacks can deal quite a lot of damage, you’ll have to use specific team members to trigger them fast.

Fu Xuan
Sustainer/Buffer
If you’ve given Jade’s kit a read, you’ll quickly realize that she has an HP drain mechanic with her Skill. She applies the Debt Collector state on one ally with the Skill, increasing their SPD and dealing extra DMG whenever they attack. However, this attack also takes away 2 percent of their max HP, which sounds just like something perfect for Blade.
Though, keep in mind that this drain usually won’t give youextra stacks for Bladesince he’ll be getting that HP drain alongside his own kit’s drain. Even though you don’t get extra stacks, this team still works perfectly in almost every endgame scenario since almost every attack done by Blade is AoE.

If you’re using this team in Pure Fiction, itisn’t a terrible idea to replace Fu Xuanwith another buffer or sub-DPS unit.
As long as you can defeat enemies, your team won’t take much damage except Blade, who can heal himself.

One of the most important things with Jade is getting her follow-up as fast as possible. This follow-up is triggeredwhen Jade or the Debt Collector attacks an enemy, and she gains one stack for each enemy attacked. Since she only attacks three enemies with her Basic Attack, you’d want the Debt Collector to attack more than that and often.
This can be done with Bronya or Sparkle in your team, as these characters can boost Blade’s turn, allowing for faster follow-ups from both him and Jade. Finally, Fu Xuan can help the team stay alive while you execute the rest of the combination while also providing some free Crit Rate, which is thestat that Jade needs most.
Aventurine
Sustainer
Ever since Honkai: Star Rail has started releasing more characters with follow-up damages, it’s pretty obvious that the best play is touse a bunch of them together so that you’re able to get a ton of extra attacks. This is true even for Jade, though you might have to do some specific things with this team that you wouldn’t expect.
Dr. Ratio is one of the best follow-up units in the game, but bothhe and Topaz can only deal damage to one unit at a time. As mentioned before, this would be quite terrible for Jade since it’d take them multiple turns to get her follow-up attack triggered. To avoid this, you’d want to apply the Debt Collector to Aventurine in this team.
Aventurine can deal damage to every enemy on the field using his follow-up with a bit of luck, andthis ability is easy to trigger with this team.
Essentially, you’ll be dealing a ton of damage with both Jade and Dr. Ratio while Topazbuffs the follow-up DMG on the tankiest enemy on the field. Every time a follow-up attack triggers, Aventurine will get a stack and quickly trigger his own follow-up as well. He can also provide some extra Crit DMG with his Ultimate for the tankiest enemy.
Lynx
When you think of an F2P-friendly team for a character, you’d usually expect it to be quite weak. However, when it comes to Jade, her F2P-friendly team is not only good, but it can also bebetter than her best team in AoE-based endgame modeslike Pure Fiction. This is because of the condition required to trigger Herta’s follow-up.
Herta is already a great team member for Jade as she deals damage to every enemy on the field with her Skill, Ultimate, and follow-up. Thelast attack is triggered whenever an enemy goes below 50 percent HP, which happens quite often when you have constant waves of smaller enemies coming to the field.
Asta is one of the best Harmony additions to this team as she canstack Jade’s Debt Collector SPD buff with her ownwhile also providing extra ATK.
Finally, Lynx doesn’t necessarily have a specific job in this team except to keep everyone alive. If you have a better sustainer like Aventurine or Fu Xuan, you can easily replace her with themto get an edge over the enemy.
