Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’sfifth season has brought with it two new weapons for players to unlock. One of them is the Static-HV, a fast-firing SMG boasting a large magazine capacity and low recoil. Each shot is fairly weak, but its fast fire rate makes it a formidable weapon up close.
Through the Gunsmith, you can turn this weapon into a powerful close-range weapon or a decent alternative to an assault rifle. This guide will showcase two powerful builds for the Static-HV, covering a powerful accuracy configuration and a more niche tac stance build. But before we jump into each build, let’s first explain how to unlock the Static-HV.
How To Unlock The Static-HV
The Static-HV is unlocked through the Season 5 Battle Pass.Static-HV is found in Sector 6, which will take at least 20 tokens to unlock. After Season 5 ends, you can unlock the Static-HV from the Armory Unlocks system, requiring you to complete daily challenges in Multiplayer, Warzone,or MWZ. The weapon itself has 18 levels.
Accuracy Static-HV Build
This build aims to make theStatic-HV an accurate SMGwithout significantly hurting the gun’s mobility stats. Most of this gun’s recoil is vertical, so we use theQuartermaster Suppressorto substantially reduce the gun’s recoil while keeping the gun suppressed. It’s a new attachment you canearn through Armory Unlocks. TheSL Skeletal Vertical Gripfurther improves the gun’s vertical recoil.
We then use theGarrote-8 Long Barrelfor more range,Spry 34 Light Stockfor more mobility, and theJAK Glassless Opticfor added firing aim stability. This won’t be the most aggressive SMG, but the added accuracy makes this weapon a powerhouse at close quarters and even medium distances.
Loadout Recommendations
TheModular Assault Rigreceived a massive buff this season and is a great option for just about every build. We runGhostandCovert Sneakersfor stealth play,Scavenger Glovesto recover ammo and equipment from kills, andMag Holsterto reload the Static-HV faster. Feel free to replace Mag Holster with another perk of your choosing.
For equipment, we highly recommendStimssince you’re able to recover them from kills. Your choice of Lethal is down to preference, although we highly recommendThrowing Knives.As for your Field Upgrade, you can’t go wrong with theMed Boxfor rapid HP recovery.
Tac Stance Static-HV Build
SMGs tend to perform well with tac stance builds, and the Static-HV is no exception. This build aims tomake tac stance as accurate as possibleby stacking as many hipfire attachments as possible. We use theBruen Bastion Angled Grip, Thar-V1.2 Grip, SL Tac Hive V.4 Stock, and Schlager ULO-66 Laserto lower the gun’s tac stance accuracy to 0.9 degrees. That’s fairly close to ADS accuracy.
The final attachment slot is up to you. We opted to use the newQuartermaster Suppressorto greatly lower the gun’s recoil while also suppressing our shots. This makes the gun a fantastic option for fast-paced, close-quarters combat.
Field Upgrade

We’re recommending the same loadout as our previous build. TheModular Assault Rigdoes a little of everything and ensures that ammo will never be an issue. RunScavenger Glovesto recover your ammo and equipment from kills, and useStimsto quickly recover your HP after a gunfight. We also recommend you runGhostandCovert Sneakersto lean into a more stealth-oriented playstyle.
