Summary
Star Wars Unlimitedhas plenty of cards that give you instant value. While some units give you an On Play ability that rewards you for getting them out, sometimes you need something a bit more powerful or specific to get around your opponent’s board.
Shadows of the Galaxy has plenty of new Event cards that can help you turn the tables. Some allow you to bounce back cards, while others will get rid of your opponent’s most powerful units. From villainous plots to heroic strategies, these are the ten best Event cards in Shadows of the Galaxy.

10Cripple Authority
A Situational Hand Rip
Cripple Authority is a surprisingly cheap card to play for its effect. For two resources, you can draw a card and then make your opponent discard a card. While you don’t get to choose which one, you can easily gain a card hand advantage this way.
The only catch is it only affects your opponent when they have more resources than you. If you’re playing against multiple players, it will affect everyone that meets these parameters. So the more players, the more value you can get.

9A New Adventure
Reset And Replay Cards
A New Adventure bounces a unit that costs six or less back to the owner’s hand. The owner can then play it for free. Cards that can bounce other cards back to the hand are quite useful for a multitude of reasons.
This can be a good way to reset an upgraded unit while sending the upgrades to the discard. you may also use this on yourself to play the same unit a second time for free for its On Summon effect. It’s a very versatile card worth sliding into your deck.

8Give In To Your Anger
Force Your Opponent’s Hand
Sometimes you need to be able to control what your opponent does during their next action, so make themturn to the dark sidewith Give In To Your Anger. For the cost of one resource, you can deal one damage to one of your opponent’s units.
Now, that unit must attack one of your units during the next action. This can prevent a stronger unit from attacking your base. It can also be used as a way to stall so that your opponent can’t use events as their next action.

7Fell The Dragon
Defeat Powerful Units
Fell The Dragon costs four resources and lets you defeat a non-leader unit with five or more power. This can be useful for taking down powerful units such as Krayt Dragon without taking too much damage in return.
The only limits to this card that keep it from reaching the top are the restrictions, which make it a bit more situational. However, it is still a heavily useful card that can deal with units in space and on the ground. It can also slide into almost any deck for only one Vigilance.

6Choose Sides
An Unfair Trade
One strategic card that can lead to some funny interactions is Choose Sides. Costing seven resources, it allows you to swap a non-leader unit with your opponent’s. There are many ways to take advantage of this strategy.
You can give your opponent a weaker unit in exchange for one of their more powerful units, and you can also swap out a ground unit for a space unit when the need arises. This can let you take advantage of powerful abilities or prevent your opponent from using them on you.

5Timely Intervention
Give A Unit Ambush
Ambush is one of the best keywords in Star Wars: Unlimited. Timely Intervention lets you play a unit from your hand and give it Ambush during the phase. It can also be smuggled through your resource pile for two resources with the top card of your deck taking its place.
Timely Intervention is a flexible card that can be used to get one of your best units into action right away. While you do need to pay the cost of the card, having Ambush will speed up its value in an instant.

4Unexpected Escape
Unexpected Strategies
One of the new mechanics introduced in Shadows of the Galaxy is capture. Capture can be used to nullify an enemy unit or collect bounties. Unexpected Escape will make your opponent think twice about taking your units or collecting their bounties.
This one-cost card allows you to exhaust one of your opponent’s units and rescue your captured units. In a much more elaborate scheme, you can even rescue an enemy unit that has a bounty to get them back on their field. This could potentially allow you to collect that bounty a second time with a different unit.

3Ma Klounkee
Unlimited Usefulness
For the low cost of only one resource, you can bounce one of your friendly units back to your hand and then deal three damage to any unit. This has way too many uses for such a low cost. For starters, it can eliminate low-health units or even make higher-health units easier to take down.
The bounce-back effect can be useful if you want to play a card again for its On Play effect. It is also a good way of resetting any damage done to one of your more powerful units.

2Palpatine’s Return
Play Cards From The Discard
Cards that allow you to play other cards from the discard pile turn that pile into a brand-new hand for you and thisStar Wars villainhas what you need. For the cost of six resources, Palpatine’s Return lets you select a unit from your discard and play it at a discounted rate.
Units that would normally cost six or less can be played for free, while Force units up to eight get this same benefit. You will need to pay the difference to play cards that cost more, but it is well worth just to give a powerful unit a second go around.

1Rival’s Fall
Defeat Any Unit
One of the most basic cards in the entire Shadows of the Galaxy set is one of the strongest, as Rival’s Fall lets you instantly defeat a unit. Besides the cost of six resources, it can be useful for removing the most powerful cards in Star Wars Unlimited.
For starters, Rival’s Fall does not specify what kind of unit to defeat. So it can defeat leader units as well as space units. It also bypasses shields because it is not an attack done to them, it simply defeats them.
