Ever since the beginning,Genshin Impacthas given a lot of importance to team-building, especially when a new DPS gets released. Most main damage dealers can’t do much by themselves, but they can easily destroy everything with the right team members. The same can be said forMualani.
Mualani is a five-star Hydro character using a Catalyst, and you’re able to easily see some big damage numbers from her. However, if you want to take her to Spiral Abyss or Imaginarium Theater, you’ll have to build a synergistic team with her.

Best Mualani Team
If all the characters mentioned above are available to you, you can easilyput them in a team together and use them without a second thought. Due to the lack of synergistic Natlan characters on Mualani’s release, this is by far the best team you can use with her to not only get the most damage output overall, but also see the highest numbers Mualani can put out.
The main idea of this team is to apply theBurning effect on the enemies using the combination of Xiangling and Emilie, which constantly applies the Pyro element on them. This is already the perfect scenario for Emilie to deal a ton of damage, and the constant Pyro application also allows Mualani toconsistently trigger the Vaporize reaction.

This is especially good if you have Mualani’s signature weaponsince it relies on the Vaporize reactionto give her the most damage.
Finally, the role of Zhongli in this team is toreduce the enemy’s RES to all the elements involved, which further buffs your damage. Ideally, you’d want to have the highest possible Elemental Mastery on both Emilie and Mualani in this team, and here’s what your rotation will look like:

Due to the fast cooldowns, the rotation for this team will feel quite refreshing. However, you alsohave to pay a lot more attention to be efficient with this team.
Vaporize-Focused Mualani Team
This team will feel a lot like the previous one, except it removes the Dendro element from the equation andfocuses more on buffing Mualani’s damage as much as possible. Unfortunately, the lack of off-field Pyro applicators in the game makes Dehya and Xiangling the only choices for this, and you’ll also have to Swirl Pyro withKazuha’s Burst to get the requiredPyro application.
Both Furina and Kazuha are an important part of this team since they can heavily buff Mualani’s overall damage. However, this teamloses a ton of damage after a few rotations since there’s no healerand Furina’s Burst doesn’t buff your damage if your team can’t lose any more HP.
To make this team give you a little less but regular damage, you’llhave to replace Kazuha with Xianyun or Jean.
The rotation for this team is highly important as it can easily make or break your damage:
Keep in mind that you have to do all of this quite fast sinceKazuha’s main buff only lasts for ten secondsafter Swirling Hydro at the start.
Overall, this team is a lot harder to use than Mualani’s main team, and you’ll also get less value in most situations. However, it can begood if you want to deal some high damagefor a screenshot.
Mono-Hydro Mualani Team
Whenever a new DPS gets released in Genshin Impact, it’s almost a necessity to make a mono-elemental team around them since these can be quite fun to use. Of course, you’llget a lot less value from this team and it nullifies some of the passive from Mualani’s signature weaponunless you’re up against an enemy that can apply Pyro to itself.
The main idea behind this team is to use Mona’s Elemental Burst tobuff Mualani’s damage alongside the boost from Swirl and potentially Kazuha. Kokomi is also the perfect sustainer to use here since she can consistently heal the active character.
The rotations for this team aren’t specifically complicated since you can use any character at any point as long asyou use Mona’s Burst and Swirl before switchingto Mualani.
