There are plenty of characters to unlock and play with inZenless Zone Zero, and one of the first you’ll get is Nicole. As the leader of the Cunning Hares, she’s an impeccable woman capable of thinking on the fly and adapting to any situation. Building her is a smart choice that will make gameplay smoother.
However, there’s a lot to consider when building a character based on what you have available and what you still need. Thankfully, we’ll break it all down for you so you can unleash Nicole’s full potential! If you build her right, she can carry you a long way.

Best Nicole Builds
Since Nicole can beunlocked early in the game, you’ll have plenty of time to familiarize yourself with her skills. However, that means focusing your energy onfinding the perfect W-Engine and Drive Discsto compliment her.
1

The Vault
Since Nicole is an Ether Attribute character, this W-Engine isher signature weapon. When dealing Ether damage to enemies via Special Attack, Chain Attack, or Ultimate Attack, all squad members' damage against the target will increaseby 15 percent.
It alsoincreases Nicole’s Energy Regen, though passive effects of the same kind won’t stack.

2
Unfettered Game Ball
As a Support character, Nicole can use this W-Engine toincrease her Energy Regen and boost her squad members' CRIT Ratetemporarily whenever her attacks trigger an Attribute Counter effect.
3

Slice Of Time
With other four-star options, the main appeal of this W-Engine is that itgenerates more Energyfor Nicole, though there are better options.
4

Reverb-Mark II
As a B-Rank W-Engine, the Mark II is a half-step up from the Mark III. The main appeal is theEnergy Regen for Nicole, as well as theboost to squad members' Anomaly Mastery and Proficiencywhen launching special attacks.
5

Reverb-Mark III
If you’re able to’t obtain any of the above W-Engines, theReverb-Mark III is a great bargain option. You’ll likely end up with enough of these to max them out, and Nicole canmake use of Chain Attacks and Ultimate Attacks to increase her squad member’s Attackfor a short time.
Synergy With Nicole
Swing Jazz
Increases Nicole’s Energy Regen and boosts squad members' DMG when launching Chain Attacks or Ultimate Attacks. This is the best four-piece set for her.
Chaotic Metal
Increases Nicole’s Ether DMG and CRIT DMG rate. This works best as a two or four-piece set with Swing Jazz.
Freedom Blues
Increases Nicole’s Anomaly Proficiency and reduces the target’s Anomaly Buildup RES. This is a great alternative to the above sets if you don’t have a two or four-piece set.
Best Bangboo For Nicole
Bangboos are adorable allies, and theyplay an important role in combat. While not controllable characters, you canequip them to help provide supporton the side. Below arethe best Bangboosto have with Nicole:
While Nicole’s personal Bangboo is Amillion, they’re not the best pairing comabt-wise.
Avocaboo
Avocaboo is best athealing and providing supportthroughout combat. By shooting juice at your characters, you can recover HP and worry less about your squad members.
Sumoboo
If you bring Anby along with Nicole, then Sumoboo is your best choice. Sumoboo gains additional skills when a Stun character is present, and by defaultlaunches itself at the enemy to interrupt attacks.
Exploreboo
Explorebooprovides a variety of buffsfor your characters, including HP recovery, shield generation, and increased Energy Regen.
