As a villain, Toru’s identity is kept on the down low for the vast majority of the series. Instead, the figure most fans are directed towards is the mysterious Satoru Akefu. In reality, Satoru is secretly Toru’s stand called Wonder of U.
Toru is one of the most dangerous villains, as even thinking about pursuing him or his stand, can cause untold calamity that will end any inquisitive person’s life in a heartbeat. However, he lacks development or presence like the other Jojo villains to really make him great.

Dio Brando is the main villain of two Jojo Parts. During Phantom Blood he acts as a catalyst that kick-starts every other event in the series. While his drama is compelling and his evil is entertaining to watch, Dio is far from the most complex villain.
His stand is among the most powerful in Stardust Crusaders, being able to stop time. His eloquence is also a major reason why he is beloved by so many. However, at the end of the day, besides being the ultimate evil at the end of the road, he doesn’t provide as much before his final encounter in Egypt.

Jojo’s villains range from small-town serial killers to world-ending vampires. However, most conflicts are limited in scope due to their reach. Funny Valentine, on the other hand, is no ordinary villain. He is also the President of the United States. While selfish, he also claims that his motivations are to harness the power of the corpse and elevate the United States and its people to a new level of dominance. Of course, this means forcing the country into a dynasty and using his stand to reach into alternate dimensions.

Diavolo as a character is compelling without having to be fully present most of the time. He is similar to Dio in regards to how ruthless he can be, and his hidden identity is similar to the mystery surrounding Yoshikage Kira.
Diavolo often splits between the timid but determined Doppio and his more sinister personality. His stand is also one of the more confusing ones to understand right away, but ties into the concept of fate in the Jojo universe. He is able to skip moments in time and avoid the negative outcomes that are destined to befall him.
3Father Pucci

Father Pucci’s philosophy is what strengthens his character beyond being a simple follower of Dio. He is the culmination of all the fate themes between part four and part six. He is also a villain who gets variouspower-upsas the series progresses.
His first ability allows him to take stands away and pass them on to other people. His second ability, known as Made in Heaven, allows him to effect gravity. This, in combination with a few sometimes hard-to-follow steps, allows him to skip past the entirety of one cycle of reality into another one where everyone is able to know their predetermined destinies.
2Yoshikage Kira
A Killer Among Us
Yoshikage Kira is one of the more terrifying yet somewhat relatable villains in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. Unlike other characters who are evil by nature, Kira is a character that fights against his own nature. This desire leads him to become a serial killer who tries their hardest to blend in.
The most compelling aspect of Kira is the way he thinks. His murderous ways are treated more like an affliction, with Kira’s main goal being to live a peaceful life. This contrast offers amazing drama which at times, has you rooting for him despite him being the villain. The hunt for Kira also has some of the most nail-biting scenarios.
1Diego Brando
The First Villain Reimagined
Diego Brando is either a main villain or a side villain, depending on who you ask. However, his importance to Johnny Joestar’s story elevates him in status. Rather than being born evil like his original counterpart, Diego isshaped by his strugglesand the loss of his mother.
Diego follows many of the same story beats as the original Dio, with him gaining supernatural powers as well as eventually being introduced once more with the ability to stop time. Despite the similarities, Diego is a much deeper character than Dio, which allows readers to see the darkness in his heart as well as the fading light.
