Summary

So, you openedMinecraft, and you’re thinking about whether or not it’d be worth it to search for and take on a few Trial Chambers; you know, those underground structures chock full of oxidized Copper, Tuff Bricks, annoying Breezes, and plenty of other mobs.

Well, like any other game that offers randomized loot, you’ll get your fair share of more mundane items, like Iron Ingots, Arrows, or a Diamond or two, but there’s other stuff in the loot pool that is definitely worth your time and effort. If you need a reason to start, or keep grinding Trials, you’re in the right place.

If you’re unfamiliar, Wind Charges are the same, swirly-looking projectilesthat Breezes shoot at you. They possess the same, hefty knockback properties, and are consumable, which means you’ll have to find a way to keep a steady supply of charges if you plan on firing a bunch of them.

Wind Charges can also be used in Dispensers, and interact with certain Redstone components, like Buttons, Doors, Fence Gates, and Levers. Alternatively, you can be fired at your feet to blast yourself into the air, or to knock mobs away from you if you’re getting overwhelmed.

An iron armor set with diamond blue trim in the Bolt pattern.

Ominous Bottles, which afflict you with the Bad Omen status effect when drunk, isn’t always something you’d want, especially since it triggers a raid if you walk too close to a village while the effect is active. But, there is a plus side to these strange, probably nasty-tasting potions.

First, it’s nice to have an alternative way to obtain these bottles; typically, you’d be hunting down Raid Captains to get them as a drop. Second, and more importantly, the bottles themselves allow you to initiate village raids, or Ominous Trials, whenever and wherever you’d like.

While there will always be certain, lackluster enchantments that you could easily obtain by chance from an Enchantment Table, like Sharpness, Efficiency, or Feather Falling, there are some booksin the Trial Chambersloot table that are game-changing for the mid-game and beyond.

A black banner with a white Guster pattern.

If you’re lucky, you could pop open a chest and find a book enchanted with Mending, Loyalty, Channeling, Fortune, or Silk Touch. With the drop chance for enchanted books being relatively low, however, you might need to loot a fair amount of chests before you win the enchantment lottery.

A player seen crouching, holding a blue and white trident.

Most people would agree that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and there are slight variances in armor trimsdepending on where you apply them, but you might as well try your luck to obtain this drop; why deny yourself extra, fashionable styles or options?

Plus, even if you don’t like it, you could always add it to an armor stand collection, or give it to a friend or player that does like the look of it, if you happen to be playing on a server. If anything, the design itself offers plenty of linear symmetry.

Pretty much everyone likes jamming out to their favorite music discs, even if it’s only for a little bit when you and your friends have that two-week multiplayer phase once a year. Oh, and speaking of jamming out, Precipice is highly energetic and punchy.

Given the drop rate, you’ll probably have to clear at least a few Trial Chambers, but the upside is once you have this music disc, you can have it play on repeat for as long as you’d like, just like that new banger you found on Spotify.

As you may or may not have already implied by the name, this banner pattern is designed to mimic the appearance of a Breeze, showing a small, blocky head at the top, and an inverted triangle shape made up of thick lines to represent the body.

The obvious use for this banner pattern is to plop it on any Breeze themed build, but you could also use it to mark a chest full of Wind Charges, or an easy marker for other players to find that mob grinder you built.

The mighty power and utility of the Trident needs no introduction; everybody knows it can dish out serious damage, and makes fighting mobs in the water much easier. Thus, despite the low drop chance, getting one of these from a Trial Chamber would be a huge upgrade.

Again, some folks are just going to get lucky and find a Trident in one of the first chests they loot after a trial, but assuming you’re going to be right in the middle of the statistical bell curve, you’re most likely going to loot 48 chests before you get one.
