When venturing through the galaxy to commit some crimes under the Empire’s nose, you gotta look the part. Thus,Star Wars Outlawsprovides Kay with many vests, belts, pants, and charms to give her boosts and perks for the adventure, and even Nix gets some perks based on what you’re feeding him.
And though there are a few that do the same thing or at least something very similar, that gives you some room to customize, as you’re able to have your charms focus on your health, for instance, while your outfit focuses on stealth - not to mention that some vests, belts, and pants get specific perks when worn together.
10Duradan Soup
Superior Nix Treat
Starting with our boy, Nix, we have a few special treats you’re able to give him once youfind the places that sell themon each planet. Duradan Soup is from the planet Kijimi, and once ‘equipped’ (equipping food is a weird concept), Nix can distract more than one enemy at a time.
It comes with the drawback that his overall range to distract enemies is shorter, but that doesn’t come up often, and, due to the focus on stealth, distracting more than one person is helpful.
9Kurado Fruit
Another food worth mentioning - though they’re all good - is the Kurado Fruit from Akiva. Its effect is surprisingly simple but very useful: Nix can distract enemies for a longer period of time.
That’s the whole idea here, and it’s very straightforward, but, just like the previous one, it helps with stealth segments, which are prominent here, from mandatory stealth moments or situations where it’s best to be sneaky so you won’t affect your reputation with the syndicates.
8Cyclone Relic
Major Charm
Making sure you’re healthy is important in every game, as well as ensuring you can hurt your enemies. So, why not use something that helps with both? Two resources you’ll have are bacta vials, used for healing, and grenades, used for, well, blowing people up.
When Cyclone Relic is equipped, you’ll have a chance to instantly get one of these whenever you use them. For instance, you may use a bacta vial to heal yourself and just get one for free - basically, you get a chance of a free use of the item.
7Ashiga Clan Chest
Minor Charm
This charm is also very helpful for both offense and defense. Whenever you decide to settle scores with your fists, you’ll recover health during your takedowns. In other words, being aggressive will heal you.
Many enemies here can be taken down by a simple combo or with a simple button press on stealthy moments, so if you need healing but you’re out of bacta, you can just punch people or hide and take them out quietly, and that will heal you automatically.
6Tooka Paw
Exploration is also a big part of this game, and sadly, some environments are too rocky to traverse safely, and fall damage can get you if you’re not careful. That’s where the Tooka Paw charm comes in, as it diminishes the effects of fall damage.
It won’t save you from absurd heights, but otherwise, the damage reduction is strong enough to annul fall damage in almost every situation. Thus, you can free fall whenever you don’t find a safe route downwards in most cases - it makes leaving Imperial compounds a lot easier.
5Data Cylinder
Adrenaline Rush is the most powerful ability you have here, especially afteryou get the abilitiesthat upgrade its number of targets and effectiveness. Thus, ensuring your Adrenaline Rush stays available for as long as possible is a useful thing to do.
Data Cylinder has a simple effect - as minor charms do - which reduces the amount of Adrenaline Rush you naturally lose over time. This allows you to safely keep your adrenaline for a time it actually matters rather than your bar depleting at an important moment.
4Outlaw Pants
Superior Legs
Keeping the same idea of improving your Adrenaline Rush, Outlaw Pants does the same as the charm, but better - and they stack - but it also gives you adrenaline whenever you use a bacta vial to heal yourself.
Because of that, you can easily turn the tables when in low health, as whenever you heal yourself, you’ll have a huge chance of maxing your adrenaline bar and can then perform an Adrenaline Rush. The only downside here is that you may actually make the game too easy for you since the game is not very hard to begin with, and Adrenaline Rush makes it easier.
3Moldour Thief Vest
Superior Chest
One more gear piece that improves your adrenaline, this time by giving you adrenaline whenever you perform a stealth takedown, thus having you ready to shoot everybody around you in case sneaking around goes wrong.
It also helps you walk around without being detected by cameras, which is one of the more annoying parts of sneaking in the game, as going around them until you find a way to deactivate them is your only safe option.
2Imperial Disguise
Gear Set
Bymaxing out your reputationwith the Pyke Syndicate, you can get this outfit. Each piece will make your blaster stronger or let it cool down faster while also making your Adrenaline Rush deadlier, but that’s not why the set is here.
What makes this gear set good - aside from the looks - is the fact that Imperials will have a harder time identifying you, and youlose your Wanted levelwith them faster. Essentially, the Empire won’t bother you nearly as much when this disguise is equipped.
1Kijimi Explorer
This gear set comes from getting maximum reputation with the Ashiga Clan, and it’s perfect for making Kay less squishy. The belt alone is a highlight, increasing the amount of bacta vials you can carry and fully restoring your health once after taking lethal damage.
The jacket and pants will reduce the damage you take under certain situations, and wearing the whole set reduces the damage you take when you’re already in low health. You are virtually unkillable.
