One of the largest progression walls you’ll hit in the endgame ofThe First Descendantis Gold. This resource is used for everything, ranging from module upgrading to material crafting. Burning through millions of Gold isn’t uncommon once you start farming for Ultimate Descendants.
The good news is that you have a few options for farming Gold. In this guide, we’ll cover the two best sources of Gold: the famous Echo Swamp Exterminate mission and the fairly short Block Kuiping Mining mission. One is focused on consistent, hourly Gold drops, while the other farm has much higher returns but is much less consistent.

The best Gold farm in The First Descendant isBlock Kuiper Mining in Sterile Lands.This is a Special Operation where you must eliminate ten waves of Vulgus forces. Every two waves you clear will have a high chance of awarding a Gold cache.

But that’s not where the Gold comes from. You’re looking forBounties and Marks, both of which have a small chance of dropping throughout the run.Bounties are worth 100K Gold each, while Marks are worth 1M.Bounties seem to drop every few runs, while Marks are far rarer. On average, we earned a Mark every seven clears. Runs take roughly 13 minutes witha good Bunny, but if you bring a coordinated group, you can drop that down to eight minutes or less.
That’s roughlyseven chances of earning a million Gold per hour. You aren’t going to get a Mark every run unless you’re absurdly lucky, but earning at least two every hour puts you safely in the range ofthree to four million Gold per hour,depending on Bounty drops. If luck is on your side, you can easily earn five million Gold per hour this way. Just don’t expect that to be consistent.

A much more consistent Gold farm is theAbandoned Refinery Unit mission in Echo Swamp.It’s a short Exterminate mission you can clear in less than 60 seconds with a good Bunny build. So long as you pick up all the Gold the monsters drop, you earn roughly50K Gold per minute, which adds up to about 3M Gold per hour. That’s without Gold boosters or component affixes, so you can get this much higher.
