Summary

Pokemon TCGadds 99 unique cards to collect and trade in the Shrouded Fable expansion. Things get dark, as powerful Dark and Posion-type Pokemon and Trainers emerge from Kitakami. So get ready to update your decks as the meta continues to evolve.

There are plenty of cards in this set that let you foil your opponent’s tactics and others that allow your Pokemon to use poison as a way to boost the amount of damage they do. From legendary Pokemon with game-ending moves, to powerful Trainer Cards, these are the ten best cards in Pokemon TCG Shrouded Fable expansion.

Kyrum Pokemon TCG Card Art.

10Kyurem

A Triple Knockout

Kyurem is one ofthe coolest legendary Pokemon of all time. In Shrouded Fable, it gets a serious upgrade. While Trifrost requires a whopping five energy from two different typings, the damage it deals is well worth the price.

Dealing 110 damage to not one, but three of your opponent’s Pokemon can end the game in an instant if you manage to knock out three Pokemon. If they happen to have a Colress in their discard pile, the move can be used for only one Colorless Energy.

Genesect Pokemon TCG Card Art.

9Genesect

Ace Specs Be Gone

Genesect is a special Pokemon and its latest Ability is nothing to scoff at. With Ace Specs being some of the most powerful cards in the game, being able to shut down your opponent’s ability to use them can be a great tool.

As long as Genesect has a Pokemon Tool, you can stop them from using Ace Spec cards from their hand. If you get this set up early in the game, you can cut off one of their most useful options.

Binding Mochi Pokemon TCG Card Art.

8Binding Mochi

Poison Becomes Power

Many of the cards introduced in Shrouded Fable have neat little abilities that synergize well with poison. Binding Mochi takes advantage of this mechanic by allowing Pokemon who hold this Pokemon Tool to hit harder.

The best part of all is that it is not locked to a specific type of Pokemon such as a GX or an Evolution. The only condition for its use being that the Pokemon holding it needs to be Poisoned. Then, you’re able to do an extra 40 damage to your opponent’s Active Pokemon.

7Okidogi EX

A Heavy Hitter

Okidogi EX is an excellent Pokemon for all you beat-down enthusiasts. For one energy, Poisonous Musculature can search the deck for two Basic Dark Energy Cards and attach them to Okidogi EX . This allows it to be ready to use its second attack, Chain-Crazed, on the next turn.

Chain-Crazed does 130 damage on its own and 260 damage if Okidogi EX is Poisoned. Luckily, the first move does this for you, so most of the time, you may have a powerful Pokemon ready to start cracking down on your opponents quickly.

Neutralization Zone Pokemon TCG Card Art.

6Xerosic’s Scheme

Sneaky Hand Disruption

There are times when you just don’t want your opponent to have too many cards in their hand. Luckily Xerosic’s Machinations can let you deal with that. Playing this Supporter Card forces your opponent to discard all but three of their cards.

This can be a good way to get rid of some of their options or as a way to even the playing field after your opponent draws deep into their deck. The only downside is that they get to choose what to send.

5Pecharunt EX

Float Stone On Legs

Perharunt EX is another card that focuses on Poison in exchange for a really powerful ability. Subjugating Chains is a Float Stone for your Dark-type Pokemon but as a card on your Bench. Once per turn, you can switch one of your Active with your Benched Pokemon.

The only downside is that it gets Poisoned instead of paying the retreat cost. It also helps as a late-game tactic, with Irritated Outburst doing 60 damage for each Prize Card your opponent has taken. So that’s a maximum of 300 damage for only two Dark Energies.

4Fezandipiti EX

Your Pokemon Have Life Insurance

Fezandipiti EX has an Ability that could go into any deck. Flip the Script allows you to draw three cards if your opponent manages to knock out one of your Pokemon during their last turn. While ideally, you do not want your Pokemon getting kicked around, it is nice to have compensation when they do.

Cruel Arrow is also a decent move if Fezandipiti EX is forced into action. For three Colorless Energy, it can deal 100 damage to one of your opponent’s Benched Pokemon. So, if you’re in a pinch but can grab a prize card, this can be a nice way to do so.

3Janine’s Secret Art

Play Energy Faster

Janine’s Secret Art is a Supporter Card that fits into the Dark-type tactics introduced in Shrouded Fable. Choose two of yourDark-type Pokemoneither on the Bench or Active, and search the deck for your Dark Energies.

Then, attach one each to your selected Pokemon. Once again, using this Supporter will also leave your Pokemon Poisoned, but if you’re running Dark Pokemon from this set, it is more than likely to be of benefit rather than a downside. It also just lets you attach more than one Energy per turn, which is always a plus.

2Night Stretcher

Search Your Discard Pile

Night Stretcher may not seem like the most important card in the world, but wording can make all the difference. While many cards can get you energy from your discard pile to your hand, the ability to put any Pokemon in your hand is a good effect.

Night Stretcher does not specify whether the Pokemon needs to be Basic or EX. Because of this, it can grab any Pokemon that got knocked out too soon and adds them directly to your hand, making them instantly playable.

1Neutralization Zone

Too Many Rule Boxes

Neutralization Zone is one of those cards that hates Pokemon with Rule Boxes. So, if you like to keep your Deck nice and simple, Neutralization Zone can make them immune to attacks from your opponent’s EX or V Pokemon.

This can be a great tactic for keeping those more Powerful Pokemon at bay while forcing your opponent to switch out in order to deal damage to you. If they playStadium Cards, they must also hope that they have a different card that they can put in its place.
